في هذا الجو الرمادي، وسط صخب المدينة، كانت رانيا تنتظر مكالمة طالما انتظرتها.

In this gray weather, amidst the hustle and bustle of the city, Rania awaited a call she had longed for.

رانيا، الفنانة الشغوفة، كانت واقفة تحت أحد الأشجار الكبيرة، تحتمي من المطر.

Rania, the passionate artist, was standing under one of the large trees, taking shelter from the rain.

رن الهاتف في يد رانيا وظهرت صورة يوسف على الشاشة.

The phone rang in Rania's hand and Youssef's picture appeared on the screen.

أجابت بسرعة، "أهلاً يوسف، كيف حالك؟"

She answered quickly, "Hello Youssef, how are you?"

كان صوت يوسف دافئاً ومرتاحاً، لكنه حمل بعض التعب بين كلماته.

Youssef's voice was warm and relaxed, yet carried some fatigue between his words.

"رانيا، أنا آسف لانشغالي. أشتقت إليك كثيراً."

"Rania, I’m sorry for being busy. I miss you a lot."

ترددت رانيا للحظة، ثم قررت أن تعبر عن مشاعرها.

Rania hesitated for a moment, then decided to express her feelings.

"يوسف، أشعر أن المسافة تجعلني وحيدة. أريد أن نشعر بالقرب، مهما بعدت المسافات."

"Youssef, I feel that the distance makes me lonely. I want us to feel close, no matter how far apart we are."

توقف يوسف عن الحديث لبرهة، ثم قال بصوت حازم ومهتم، "أنا أفهم يا رانيا. دعينا نجعل الأمور أفضل."

Youssef paused for a moment, then said in a firm and caring voice, "I understand, Rania. Let’s make things better."

بينما كانوا يتحدثون، بدأ المطر يشتد.

As they talked, the rain intensified.

وكأن السماء تعبر عن مشاعرهم المختلطة.

رانيا شعرت بالراحة. "شكراً يا يوسف، هذا يعني الكثير لي."

Rania felt relieved. "Thank you, Youssef, that means a lot to me."
