Under a cold winter sky in the city, the family of Zayd and Lina gathered in their parents' home.

That evening, everyone had their place in the room, but their hearts were burdened with something that couldn't be easily spoken.

لقد جُمِعَوا بعد تشخيص لينا بمرض مزمن، وهو أمر هزّ أركان العائلة برمتها.

They had gathered after Lina was diagnosed with a chronic illness, a fact that shook the entire family to its core.

اعترفت لينا بأن التشخيص جعلها تدرك قيمة الوقت، وجعلها أكثر إصرارًا على المضي قدمًا فيما ترغب به.

Lina admitted that the diagnosis made her realize the value of time and made her more determined to pursue what she wanted.

هذه الكلمات أثّرت في زيد، حيث كان عليه أن يواجه إحساسه بعدم القدرة على حماية أخته من الألم.

These words affected Zayd, as he had to confront his feeling of being unable to protect his sister from pain.

بينما كانت تشتعل النقاشات في غرفة المعيشة بين أفراد العائلة، قرر زيد اتخاذ موقف واضح.

While discussions heated up in the living room among family members, Zayd decided to take a clear stance.

كانت الفرصة ملوحة بالأفق ليغادر بضع سنوات، لكنه أتخذ قراره.

He had the opportunity to leave for a few years, but he made his decision.

"سأبقى هنا، هذا المكان هو الأهم الآن"، تحدث بصوت حازم، إذ أدرك أن وجوده بقرب لينا والعائلة هو الأهم في هذه اللحظة.

"I will stay here; this place is the most important now," he spoke with a firm voice, realizing that being near Lina and the family was what mattered most at this moment.

مع مرور الليل، ومع تلاشي الطقس البارد في الخارج، وجد زيد في نفسه الشجاعة ليقبل دوره الجديد.
