تحت ضوء القمر الشتوي البارد على شاطئ لبنان المضيء، تجمعت العائلة حول نار مشتعلة في ليلة عيد الميلاد.

Under the cold winter moonlight on the luminous shores of Lebanon, the family gathered around a blazing fire on Christmas Eve.

كانت الأمواج تتلاطم بهدوء على الشاطئ، والهواء معبّق برائحة البحر المالح ومزيج من صوت الضحكات والحديث الدافئ.

The waves were gently crashing on the shore, and the air was filled with the scent of the salty sea and a mix of laughter and warm conversation.

كانت ليلى جالسة قرب النار، ملامح وجهها تخفي قلقاً عميقاً.

Layla sat near the fire, her facial features hiding deep anxiety.

كانت تفكر في مستقبلها، وأحلامها، والضغوطات التي تشعر بها من عائلتها لتحقيق توقعاتهم.

She was thinking about her future, her dreams, and the pressures she felt from her family to meet their expectations.

جلست بقربها شقيقها الأكبر، عمر، الرفيق الوفي والمساند الدائم.

Next to her sat her older brother, Omar, the loyal companion and constant supporter.

وفي تلك الليلة الباردة، قررت ليلى أن تشارك ما في قلبها مع عمر.

On that cold night, Layla decided to share her heart's contents with Omar.

نظرت إلى ألسنة اللهب وهي تتراقص، وبدأت بالحديث.

She looked at the dancing flames and started speaking.

قالت ليلى، بصوت خافت: "يا عمر، أشعر أنني بين خيارين.

Layla said, in a soft voice, "Oh Omar, I feel like I'm between two choices.

قلبي يقول لي أن أتبع أحلامي، لكن لماذا أشعر أنني مقيدة بتوقعات الجميع؟"

My heart tells me to follow my dreams, but why do I feel bound by everyone's expectations?"

ابتسم عمر بلطف، وأجابها: "ليلى، الحياة دائماً تقدم لنا خيارات مختلفة.

Omar smiled gently and replied, "Layla, life always presents us with different choices.

الأهم هو أن تكوني مقتنعة بما تريدين، ونحن سنكون دائماً هنا لدعمك مهما كان قرارك."

The most important thing is that you are convinced of what you want, and we will always be here to support you no matter what decision you make."

تألقت عينا ليلى باالدموع وهي تستمع لكلماته، شعرت بدفء حقيقته ورقتها.

Layla's eyes shone with tears as she listened to his words, feeling the warmth of his truth and tenderness.

وفجأة، شعرت بخفة، كما لو أن حِمل القلق الذي كان في صدرها قد تبخر.
