A la primavera, l'aire càlid omplia el poble on Oriol vivia.
In the spring, the warm air filled the town where Oriol lived.
Era finals de maig i a l'institut hi havia un ambient especial.
It was the end of May, and there was a special atmosphere at the high school.
All the students were excited about the summer dance.
Oriol, però, estava preocupat.
Oriol, however, was worried.
He wanted to impress Marina, the girl he had always had a bit of a crush on.
Oriol had no confidence in his style.
La moda no era el seu fort.
Fashion was not his strong point.
The girls, however, always seemed so sure of themselves.
Jordi, his best friend, told him that the best thing was to wear something classic, maybe a white shirt or black pants.
So one Saturday afternoon, Oriol decided to go shopping.
Outside, the sun was shining and people were walking around the center.
Carrer Major was full of people shopping.
Oriol felt a bit overwhelmed, but he decided to enter a small clothing store.
Allà, va trobar en Jordi.
There, he found Jordi.
"Oriol!
"Oriol!
Look at this jacket, it's perfect for the dance!"
said Jordi while pointing to a brightly colored jacket.
Però Oriol no estava segur.
But Oriol wasn't sure.
At that moment, they heard a familiar voice.
Era Marina.
It was Marina.
"Hola, Oriol!
"Hello, Oriol!
Quines coses més boniques, oi?
Such beautiful things, right?
Què estàs buscant?
What are you looking for?"
Oriol blushed but explained to her.
Marina smiled and said, "I think you'd do well with something you feel comfortable in.
Això és el més important.
That's the most important thing.
Colorful jackets are fun, but being yourself is even more!"
"Aquelles paraules van canviar tot.
Those words changed everything.
Oriol decided to try on something simpler but that he liked.
With his new decision, he picked out a blue plaid shirt.
When he looked in the mirror, he finally saw himself looking good.
And more importantly, he felt good.
On the day of the dance, Oriol walked confidently towards the high school gym.
He wore the blue plaid shirt he had chosen.
Se sentia tranquil i feliç.
He felt calm and happy.
Quan va arribar, va veure Marina.
When he arrived, he saw Marina.
Li va somriure i ella li va dir: "Estàs genial, Oriol!
She smiled at him and said, "You look great, Oriol!"
All night, Oriol danced and laughed with his friends.
He discovered that being himself was the best way to enjoy.
In the end, Oriol's confidence no longer depended on clothes but on knowing that being authentic was the best way to be.
And that night, when the lights went out and the last song played, Oriol knew he had made the right decision.
