Šumava les, plný tajemství, se probouzel do jara.

The Šumava forest, full of mysteries, was awakening to spring.

Stromy se začínaly zelenat, první květiny si prorážely cestu mezi suchými větvemi.

The trees were beginning to green, and the first flowers were pushing their way through the dry branches.

Bylo Velikonoce, a tak se Ludmila a Václav rozhodli oslavit tento svátek v srdci přírody.

It was Easter, so Ludmila and Václav decided to celebrate this holiday in the heart of nature.

Ludmila byla plná nadšení.

Ludmila was full of enthusiasm.

"Velikonoční piknik v lese je skvělý nápad," opakovala stále dokola.

"An Easter picnic in the forest is a great idea," she repeated over and over.

Měla vše připraveno: krásné malované vajíčka, sladké mazance a proutěný košík.

She had everything prepared: beautiful painted eggs, sweet mazance cakes, and a wicker basket.

Václav se těšil, ale počasí sledoval s obavami.

Václav was looking forward to it, but he watched the weather with concern.

"Ludmilo, co když nás překvapí sníh?"

"Ludmila, what if we're surprised by snow?"

zeptal se.

he asked.

Ráno Velikonoc začalo sluníčkem, ale než se dostali do poloviny cesty, začala padat hustá vločka za vločkou.

Easter morning began with sunshine, but before they got halfway, thick flakes began to fall one after the other.

"Neměli bychom se obrátit?"

"Shouldn't we turn back?"

navrhl Václav, když sníh pokryl cestu bílou peřinou.

suggested Václav when snow covered the path with a white blanket.

Ludmila však nechtěla ustoupit.

However, Ludmila didn't want to give in.

"Snad to nebude tak zlé," usmála se na něj optimisticky.

"Hopefully, it won't be that bad," she smiled at him optimistically.

Šli dál, až dorazili na širokou louku.

They continued until they reached a wide meadow.

Místo zeleně je vítaly sněhové závěje.

Instead of greenery, they were greeted by snow drifts.

"Vidíš," poznamenal Václav, "říkal jsem ti, že to není rozumné."

"See," remarked Václav, "I told you it wasn't wise."

Ale Ludmila už hledala způsob, jak piknik i přesto uskutečnit.

But Ludmila was already looking for a way to have the picnic despite everything.

Nakonec našli chráněné místo pod rozložitým smrkem.

They eventually found a sheltered spot under a sprawling spruce.

Sníh zde nebyl tak hustý a větve stromu skýtaly potřebnou ochranu.

The snow wasn't as dense there, and the tree branches provided the necessary protection.

Václav pomohl Ludmile urovnat deku a připravit jídlo.

Václav helped Ludmila lay out the blanket and prepare the food.

Přestože sníh padal, vzduch byl tichý a krásný.

Even though the snow was falling, the air was quiet and beautiful.

"Tohle je opravdu zvláštní Velikonoce," řekl Václav, když se podělil o kousek mazance.

"This is truly a special Easter," said Václav as he shared a piece of mazance.

Lodmila přikývla.

Ludmila nodded in agreement.

"Je to jako pohádka.

"It's like a fairy tale.

Máme celé Šumavské království jen pro sebe."

We have the whole Šumava kingdom just for ourselves."

Když sníh nečekaně přestal, Václav vytáhl z batohu další překvapení.

When the snow unexpectedly stopped, Václav pulled out another surprise from his backpack.

Připravil malé papírové květiny, které Ludmile pomohl rozprostřít po sněhu.

He had prepared small paper flowers, which he helped Ludmila spread over the snow.

"Myslel jsem, že by měly k Velikonocům patřit také barvy."

"I thought Easter should have some colors too."

Ludmila se usmála.

Ludmila smiled.

"Děkuji," řekla.

"Thank you," she said.

"Naučila jsem se, že i nečekané situace mohou být krásné, když to bereme s humorem a kreativitou."

"I've learned that even unexpected situations can be beautiful when we approach them with humor and creativity."

Václav přikývl.

Václav nodded.

"A já se naučil, že někdy je dobré se odvázat a užívat si okamžiku."

"And I've learned that sometimes it's good to let go and enjoy the moment."

Tak spolu, mezi sněhem a květinami, strávili přátelé Velikonoce jinak, než čekali, ale o to nezapomenutelněji.

So together, among the snow and flowers, the friends spent Easter differently than they expected, but all the more memorably.

Šumava jim nabídla kouzelný zážitek, kde našli nejen krásu, ale i nové pohledy na sebe samé.

Šumava offered them a magical experience, where they found not only beauty but also new perspectives on themselves.
