Welsh Village Whimsy: Evan's Sheepish Escapade
Roedd hi'n fore hyfryd yn Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch.
It was a lovely morning in Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch.
Roedd awyr yn las, yr haul yn disgleirio, a'r adar yn canu cerddoriaeth natur.
The sky was blue, the sun shining, and the birds singing the music of nature.
Yn y pentref hynod hwn, roedd trigolion yn deffro i ddydd arall o fywyd tawel a hapus.
In this extraordinary village, the residents woke to another day of peaceful and happy life.
Un o'r trigolion hyn oedd Evan, dyn ifanc sy'n byw ar fferm gyda'i deulu.
One of these residents was Evan, a young man who lived on a farm with his family.
Un diwrnod, aeth Evan allan i'r cae i wirio'r defaid.
One day, Evan went out to the field to check on the sheep.
Roedd yr holl ddefaid yn fyw ac yn iach, ac roedd popeth yn ymddangos yn berffaith, nes iddo sylwi bod ei sgidiau wedi mynd yn sownd yn y mwd gwlithllyd.
All the sheep were alive and well, and everything seemed perfect, until he noticed that his boots had become stuck in the muddy ground.
Wrth geisio tynnu ei droed yn rhyfedd, wnaeth sgrialu a disgyn i mewn i'r gorlan defaid.
As he tried to free his foot, he stumbled and fell into the sheep pen.
Roedd hynny'n anffawd – roedd y drws wedi cloi, ac roedd Evan wedi'i hunan.
It was unfortunate - the door had closed, and Evan was trapped.
"Help!
"Help!"
" gwaeddodd Evan, ond doedd neb yn clywed.
shouted Evan, but no one heard.
Roedd y fferm yn dawel, gyda phawb heblaw Evan yn brysur yn eu gwaith bob dydd.
The farm was quiet, with everyone except Evan busy with their daily work.
Ond dywed y chwedl fod ysbrydion yn y pentref hwn, ysbrydion a allai, os y dymuniad yn ddigon pur, ddod i helpu'r rhai mewn trafferth.
But, according to legend, there were spirits in this village, spirits that could, if the desire was pure enough, come to help those in trouble.
Wrth i oriau fynd heibio, daeth Catrin, merch leol a oedd wrth ei bodd â'r defaid, heibio i'r gorlan.
As the hours passed, Catrin, a local girl who loved the sheep, came by the pen.
Clywodd hi sŵn rhywun yn galw am help.
She heard someone calling for help.
Rhedodd i'r drws a gweld Evan tu ôl i'r ffens.
She ran to the door and saw Evan behind the fence.
"Evan!
"Evan!
Beth sydd wedi digwydd?
What has happened?"
" gofynnodd Catrin mewn cyffro.
asked Catrin excitedly.
"Rwy'n gaeth yn y pen yma!
"I'm trapped in this pen!"
" atebodd Evan, yn fflurio ei freichiau o amgylch yn anobeithiol.
answered Evan, flailing his arms hopelessly.
Heb oedi, aeth Catrin i nôl Gwyneth, cyfaill ddoeth a phendefigaidd a oedd yn byw'n agos ac sy'n gwybod popeth am bob cornel o'r pentref.
Without hesitation, Catrin went to fetch Gwyneth, a wise and kind friend who lived nearby and knew everything about every corner of the village.
Pan ddaeth Gwyneth, deallodd hi'r sefyllfa yn syth.
When Gwyneth arrived, she immediately understood the situation.
Yn ei phoced, roedd hi bob amser yn cario allwedd o bob drys yn y pentref – rhodd gan ysbrydion, meddai hi.
In her pocket, she always carried a key to every door in the village - a gift from the spirits, she said.
Defnyddiodd Gwyneth yr allwedd hudolus i agor y drws i'r pen, a rhyddhawyd Evan o'r diwedd.
Gwyneth used the magical key to open the door to the pen, finally freeing Evan.
Rhoddodd hug enfawr i Catrin a Gwyneth gan ddiolch iddynt am eu help.
He gave a huge hug to Catrin and Gwyneth, thanking them for their help.
"Diolch i chi, fy nghyfeillion," meddai Evan gyda gwên fawr ar ei wyneb.
"Thank you, my friends," said Evan with a big smile on his face.
"Rwy'n ddyledus i chi.
"I am grateful to you."
"O'r diwrnod hwnnw ymlaen, roedd Evan bob amser yn ofalus iawn lle mae'n rhoi ei gam.
From that day on, Evan was always very careful where he stepped.
A phawb yn y pentref aeth i gysgu y noson honno yn gwenu wrth feddwl am ysbrydion Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch, eu dallwedd a'u caredigrwydd.
And everyone in the village went to sleep that night smiling, thinking about the spirits of Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch, their kindness and their generosity.
Ac felly, daeth diwedd da i antur bach fawr Evan.
And so, a happy ending came to Evan's little adventure.
