  • Roedd hi’n fore perffaith yn Eryri.

It was a perfect morning in Snowdonia.

  • Yr awyr yn las fel llyn, a’r cymylau mor wyn â defaid ar y bryniau.

The sky was as blue as a lake, and the clouds as white as sheep on the hills.

  • Eleri a Dylan, ddau ffrind da, oedd wedi penderfynu treulio dydd yn cerdded mynyddoedd hardd Eryri.

Eleri and Dylan, two good friends, had decided to spend the day hiking the beautiful mountains of Snowdonia.

  • Wrth iddynt gamu trwy laswellt gwyrdd a blodau gwyllt, roedd y ddau yn chwerthin a chyfnewid straeon.

As they stepped through green grass and wildflowers, the two laughed and exchanged stories.

  • Mae Dylan yn adnabyddus am ei jôcs a'i storiâu doniol, ond heddiw Eleri oedd yn sgleinio wrth iddi arwain y ffordd.

Dylan is known for his jokes and funny tales, but today Eleri shone as she led the way.

  • Cyrraedd punt uchel y berig, Dylan penderfynodd aros i gymryd lluniau tra bod Eleri yn parhau ymlaen i'r copa.

Reaching the high point of the peak, Dylan decided to stay to take pictures while Eleri continued to the summit.

  • "Byddaf yn ôl cyn i ti wybod ei fod," meddai wrth iddo chwilio am olygfeydd prydferth.

"I'll be back before you know it," he said as he searched for beautiful views.

  • Gyda gwên ar ei hwyneb, Eleri cydsynio a symud ymlaen.

With a smile on her face, Eleri agreed and moved on.

  • Ond wrth iddi gerdded, cymylau duon ddechreuodd gasglu uwch ei phen, a'r gwynt cryfion yn chwythu fel bod sŵn y byd yn lleihau i sibrwd.

But as she walked, dark clouds began to gather above her, and the strong winds blew so loud that the world's noise decreased to a whisper.

  • Eleri, yn awyddus i ddal at ei gilydd â Dylan, edrych o gwmpas i weld os oedd wedi gwneud yn ôl i roi cwmni iddi.

Eager to stay with Dylan, she looked around to see if he had come back to keep her company.

  • Bu'n chwilio ond yn lle Dylan, gwelodd ddafad mawr gyda’i magwraeth brydferth o wallt llwyd.

Searching but not finding Dylan, she saw a large sheep with a beautiful fleece of gray wool.

  • O dan amodau llygad-dall y niwl a phrysurdeb ei chalon ofnadwy, gwyliai hi ar y creadur meddwl ei fod yn Dylan.

Under the conditions of the blind fog and the urgency of her terrible heart, she stopped at the creature, thinking it was Dylan.

  • "Dylan!

    "Dylan!

  • Dylan!

    Dylan!"

  • " gwaeddodd, gan redeg tuag at y dafad sydd wedi cael ei syndod ei hun gan y sylw.

she called, running towards the sheep that had surprised her attention.

  • Yn sydyn, gyda gwên mawr ar ei hwyneb, dyma Dylan yn camu allan o gudd a gweld yr holl ddigwyddiad.

Suddenly, with a big smile on his face, Dylan stepped out of hiding to see the whole scene.

  • Eleri yn sefyll yno, gyda’i dwylo ar ei cheg a brych yn vy ngwên.

Eleri stood there, with her hands on her cheeks and a bright smile.

  • Rhoi hi’n siŵr ei fod hi wedi gwneud camgymeriad!

She was sure she had made a mistake!

  • "O Eleri," meddai Dylan yn chwerthin, "Dy ffrind ciwt yma yw dafad, nid fi!

"Oh Eleri," Dylan chuckled, "Your cute friend here is a sheep, not me!"

  • "Daeth cywilydd ar Eleri ond ni allai hi helpu ond chwerthin hefyd.

Embarrassment came over Eleri but she couldn't help but laugh as well.

  • Ymhlith chwerthin a stori i'w hadrodd, aeth y ddau yn ôl i lawr y llwybrau, y tro hwn yn aros yn agos at ei gilydd rhag ofn iddynt golli'r un arall eto.

Amid laughter and stories to tell, the two went back down the paths, this time staying close to each other in fear of losing each other again.

  • Yn ôl yng nghysur eu cartrefi ac yn ymuno â ffrindiau a theulu, dywed Eleri a Dylan eu stori o'r dafad coll a'r dydd ar y mynydd.

Back in the comfort of their homes and in the company of friends and family, Eleri and Dylan told their story of the lost sheep and the day on the mountain.

  • Tra bo'r wên yn aros ar eu gwefusau, maent yn addo, o hyn ymlaen, byth i fynd ar wahan yn y niwl, na chymysgu ffrindiau â defaid eto.

While the smile remained on their lips, they promised, from now on, never to go separate ways in the fog, nor to mistake friends for sheep again.
