Shear Trouble in Conwy: Laughter & Lessons
Yn nhref hynafol Conwy, ger castell mawreddog â waliau cerrig trwchus, roedd bywyd yn llawn anturiaethau bach a mawr.
In the ancient town of Conwy, near a magnificent castle with thick stone walls, life was full of small and big adventures.
Yn y pentref, roedd brawd a chwaer enwog am eu hiwmor da a'u hoffter o anifeiliaid.
In the village, there were a famous brother and sister known for their good humor and love of animals.
Roedd Rhys yn ffermwr ifanc gyda blew gwalltog, a'i chwaer, Elen, yn ferch garedig gyda gwên gynnes fel yr haul yn y bore.
Rhys was a young farmer with curly hair, and his sister Elen was a kind girl with a warm smile like the morning sun.
Un bore cynnar, penderfynodd Rhys fynd â'i ddefaid i gael eu cneifio ger y castell, lle roedd awel oer y môr yn chwythu'n gyson ac yn cadw'r defaid o fod rhy boeth.
One early morning, Rhys decided to take his sheep to be sheared near the castle, where the cold sea breeze blew constantly and kept the sheep from getting too hot.
Fel arfer, roedd gan Elen a Rhys eu defaid mewn caeau cyfagos, ond y diwrnod hwnnw, roedd rhywbeth yn wahanol.
Usually, Elen and Rhys kept their sheep in nearby fields, but that day was different.
Rhys, a oedd wedi codi gyda'r haul ac yn brysur iawn, aeth yn syth i'r cae a chychwynnodd yn ei waith heb sylwi bod Elen wedi symud ei defaid i gae arall i gael pori gorau'r dydd.
Rhys, who had risen with the sun and was very busy, went straight to the field and started his work without noticing that Elen had moved her sheep to another field for the best grazing of the day.
Gan fod lliw'r defaid yn debyg, daliodd Rhys un o ddefaid Elen, gan feddwl ei bod yn un o'i rai ef, a dechreuodd gneifio'r blew gydag awch.
Since the color of the sheep was similar, Rhys mistakenly grabbed one of Elen's sheep and began shearing it with enthusiasm.
Nid oedd wedi sylweddoli bod defaid Elen yn enwog am eu croen sensitif a'u gallu i wrthsefyll unrhyw ymgais i'w cneifio heb ei haprobasiwn.
He hadn't realized that Elen's sheep were famous for their sensitive skin and their ability to resist any attempt to shear them without their approval.
Wrth i'r cneifio dechrau, dechreuodd y dafad ganu uchel iawn, bron fel galwad brys am help.
As he began shearing, the sheep started bleating very loudly, almost like an urgent call for help.
Sylweddolodd Rhys yna ei gamgymeriad angheuol, ond roedd yn rhy hwyr; roedd y dafad wedi ymgynnull y defaid eraill, ac yn fuan iawn roedd Rhys yn canfod ei hun yng nghanol defaid anhapus yn canu'n uchel.
Rhys then realized his grave mistake, but it was too late; the sheep had gathered the other sheep, and soon Rhys found himself in the midst of unhappy sheep bleating loudly.
O'r Castell, clywodd Elen y sŵn annisgwyl ac aeth i edrych beth oedd y broblem.
From the Castle, Elen heard the unexpected noise and went to see what the problem was.
Pan welodd hi beth oedd wedi digwydd, ni allai atal chwerthin.
When she saw what had happened, she couldn't help but laugh.
Er bod Rhys yn teimlo embarrassed, pobl yn atal chwerthin gydag Elen.
Though Rhys felt embarrassed, people laughed with Elen, stopping only when they saw Elen.
Dyna pryd daeth cynllun da i feddwl Elen.
That's when a good plan came to Elen's mind.
"Rhys," meddai Elen gyda gwên, "beth am os byddwn ni'n marcio ein defaid gyda lliwiau gwahanol i'w hadnabod yn haws?"
"Rhys," said Elen with a smile, "what if we mark our sheep with different colors to make them easier to recognize?"
Y cytunodd Rhys, a thrwy weddill y diwrnod, fe wnaethant baentio dotiau lliwgar ar eu defaid i osgoi unrhyw gamgymeriadau yn y dyfodol.
Rhys agreed, and for the rest of the day, they painted colorful dots on their sheep to avoid any mistakes in the future.
O hynny ymlaen, roedd hiwmor a camaraderie yn teyrnasu rhwng y ddau.
From then on, humor and camaraderie prevailed between the two.
A bob tro roedd Rhys yn cneifio ei ddefaid, roedd yn gwirio ddwywaith i wneud yn siŵr nad oedd yn camgymryd defaid ychwanegol Elen.
And every time Rhys sheared his sheep, he checked twice to make sure he didn't mistakenly shear any of Elen's additional sheep.
Ac felly, mewn cysgod castell Conwy, dysgodd Rhys a Elen werth cydweithio a phwysigrwydd sylwi ar y manylion bychain o'u hamgylchedd.
And so, in the shadow of Conwy Castle, Rhys and Elen learned the value of cooperation and the importance of paying attention to the small details of their environment.
