  • Ym mhentref bach wrth droed Parc Cenedlaethol Eryri, roedd pawb yn paratoi ar gyfer y cystadleuaeth fwyaf o'r flwyddyn – Sioe Fawr y Pentref.

In my small village at the foot of Snowdonia National Park, everyone was getting ready for the biggest competition of the year – the Village Gala.

  • Roedd Rhys, bachgen ifanc sy'n adnabyddus am ei wallgofrwydd, yn cerdded ar hyd y strydoedd llawn cyffro.

Rhys, a young boy known for his silliness, was walking along the bustling streets with excitement.

  • "Rhys," galwodd Eleri, sy'n enwog am ei bresych heb ei ail, "gofala i ti gadw dy ddwylo i ffwrdd o fy nghennin pedr i heddiw!"

"Rhys," called Eleri, famous for her prize-winning leeks, "make sure to keep your hands off my prize leek today!"

  • Rhys winciodd gyda gwên. "Peidiwch â phoeni, byddaf i'n gwylio o bell!"

Rhys winked with a smile. "Don't worry, I'll be watching from afar!"

  • Ond yn y pentref yr un pryd, roedd Gwen, sydd â dafad anwes fel ci gwarcheidwad, yn barod hefyd. Roedd ei dafad anwes, a enwir Lili, yn cael ei harddangos mewn rhan arall o'r sioe.

But at the same time in the village, Gwen, who had a sheepdog named Lili, was also getting ready. Her sheepdog, named Lili, was being showcased in another part of the gala.

  • Wrth i Rhys grwydro, gwelodd o'r pellter beth oedd yn edrych fel bwrdd o gynhyrchion gwyrddion. Gyda llygaid cyffrous a llawenydd yn ei galon, llithrodd yn ddistaw tuag atynt.

As Rhys wandered, he saw from a distance what looked like a table of green produce. With excited eyes and joy in his heart, he slid silently towards them.

  • "Rhaid bod hwn yn bresych Eleri," siaradodd yn ei feddwl, heb sylweddoli mai dafad Lili oedd yno yn bwyta glaswellt o gwmpas, yn hytrach nag ymysg bresych gwobrwyol.

"This must be Eleri's leek," he thought, without realizing that Lili the sheepdog was there eating grass around, instead of among the prize-winning leeks.

  • Mewn eiliad o gyffro, cyfarchodd Rhys y bwystfil trwm a thyfodd mawr yn ei ddychymyg i fod yn gennin pedr enbyd. "Wel dyma gennin pedr arwrol!" rhannodd â'r genedl sy'n casglu, gan syfrdanu pawb.

In a moment of excitement, Rhys greeted the hefty beast and imagined it growing large in his mind to be a noble leek. "Well here's a brave leek!" he shared with the gathering crowd, astonishing everyone.

  • Eleri a Gwen, o bell, dechreuodd ddod at y lle llawn penbleth. Gwen yn chwerthin bod ei dafad wedi dwyn y sylw, ac Eleri, wedi gwylltio, yn mynd â Rhys o'r neilltu.

Eleri and Gwen, from a distance, began to approach the scene with confusion. Gwen laughed that her dog had stolen the spotlight, and Eleri, wild with anger, went to confront Rhys.

  • "Rhys, fy nghefnin pedr i yw'r rhain," meddai Eleri, "ble wyt ti wedi eu rhoi?"

"Rhys, these are my prize leeks," said Eleri, "where have you put them?"

  • Rhys, yn amlwg wedi'i gamarwain, a fflagiodd ei freichiau mewn amddiffyniad. "Ond roeddwn i'n meddwl..." Dechreuodd chwerthin pan welodd Lili'n bwyta'n ddedwydd.

Rhys, clearly mistaken, defended himself and crossed his arms in defense. "But I thought..." He began to chuckle when he saw Lili eating happily.

  • Darganfuodd y ddau ar y diwedd y gwir bresych ar ochr arall y sioe, heb niwed ac yn parhau i ennill gwobrau.

Eventually, the two discovered the true prize leek on the other side of the show, unharmed and continuing to win awards.

  • Wedi dod dros y camsyniad, meiddiodd Rhys ymuno â Gwen a Eleri i chwerthin am yr hanes. Sylweddolodd Rhys mai yn y pentref hwn, hyd yn oed camgymeriadau o'r fath yn gallu uno'r cymuned mewn sbri a chyfeillgarwch.

After overcoming the misunderstanding, Rhys joined Gwen and Eleri in laughing about the incident. Rhys realized that in this village, even mistakes like this can unite the community in fun and friendship.

  • Serch y cymysgedd hwyliog, roedd pawb yn cytuno bod Lili, y dafad fach synhwyrol, wedi ennill lle arbennig yn y sioe, ac yn fwy na thebyg, yn y pentref cyfan.

Despite the playful mix-up, everyone agreed that Lili, the clever little sheepdog, had won a special place at the show, and most likely, in the whole village.

  • Ac o'r diwrnod hwnnw ymlaen, roedd Rhys bob amser yn siŵr o wneud gwahaniaeth rhwng bresych a dafad anwes.

And from that day on, Rhys was always sure to distinguish between leeks and sheepdogs.
