Roedd yr haul y gwanwyn yn tywynnu trwy ffenestri mawr Amgueddfa Genedlaethol Caerdydd.
The spring sun was shining through the large windows of the Amgueddfa Genedlaethol Caerdydd (National Museum Cardiff).
Roedd ysbryd positif ac egni newydd yn yr awyr wrth i'r ymwelwyr symud yn araf drwy'r orielau, ble roedd lluniadau a cherfluniau'n dominyddu'r gofod.
There was a positive spirit and new energy in the air as visitors slowly moved through the galleries, where drawings and sculptures dominated the space.
Gwnaeth Gwilym, â'i ffon glustog a'i bag yn llawn llyfrau hanes, gamu i mewn i'r ystafell arddangosfa.
Gwilym, with his cushioned stick and bag full of history books, stepped into the exhibition room.
Roedd yn wrth ei fodd gyda'r hanes yn byw trwy'r esboniadau trylwyr ar y posteri wrth ymyl pob darn.
He was delighted with history coming alive through the detailed explanations on the posters beside each piece.
Roedd ei fryd mor llwyr ar y gwybodaeth, roedd bron yn anghofio'r bobl arall o'i gwmpas.
So engrossed was he in the information that he almost forgot the other people around him.
Ar ochr arall yr ystafell, roedd Eleri, yn cadw cyfnod gyda'i phapur paff i ddaliadau llygaid ar gynhwysion lliwgar eiconau, gan nodi pob manylyn gyda'i phensil yn ofalus.
On the other side of the room, Eleri, keeping pace with her sketch paper to capture the vibrant contents of the icons, carefully noted every detail with her pencil.
Roedd hi'n chwilio'n ddwys, nid am eitem benodol, ond am rywbeth mwy iddi: ysbrydoliaeth.
She was searching eagerly, not for a specific item, but for something more for herself: inspiration.
Wrth symud tuag at brydferthwch cerflun anferthol, mae Gwilym yn codi'i ben a gweld Eleri yn eistedd yn agos at y gwaith celf, ei edrychiad yn canolbwyntio'n llwyr ar ei gwaith.
As he moved towards the magnificence of a massive sculpture, Gwilym lifted his head and saw Eleri sitting close to the artwork, her gaze entirely focused on her work.
Yn sydyn, mae'r awydd i ddechrau sgwrs yn ei oresgyn.
Suddenly, the urge to start a conversation overcame him.
Yn wylaidd, mae'n torri'r tawelwch.
Shyly, he broke the silence.
"Helo," meddai Gwilym yn f’ân.
"Hello," said Gwilym softly.
"Dwi'n gweld dy fod ti'n tynnu lluniau o'r cerflun. Mae dy waith yn wych."
"I see you’re sketching the sculpture. Your work is great."
Mae golwg syrprol ar wyneb Eleri yn troi'n wên.
A surprised look on Eleri’s face turned into a smile.
"Gwaith diolchgar," meddai.
"Appreciative work," she said.
"Dwi'n ceisio dal y teimlad yma."
"I’m trying to capture this feeling."
Os oedd y geiriau hynny'n sianel i agor ymgom, felly dyna beth ddigwyddodd.
If those words were a channel to open a conversation, then that is what happened.
Mae Gwilym ac Eleri yn dechrau siarad am y cerfluniau a'r paentiadau, am gyfnodau hanes a gwahanol oesau oeddent yn eu hoffi.
Gwilym and Eleri began talking about the sculptures and paintings, about historical periods and different ages they liked.
Mae'r iaith rhwng y ddau yn cyflymu, ac mae eu cynhesrwydd yn tyfu wrth iddynt sôn am y pethau maent ill dau'n frwdfrydig drostynt.
The exchange between the two quickened, and their warmth grew as they talked about the things they both were enthusiastic about.
Yn y sgwrs, maent yn sylwi faint o debygrwydd sydd rhyngddynt.
In the conversation, they noticed how much similarity there was between them.
Mae'r cysylltiad rhwng eu diddordeb ac angerdd yn gyffyrddus.
The connection between their interest and passion felt comfortable.
Mae'r amgueddfa'n ymddangos fel y cyfeillach delfrydol.
The museum appeared as the perfect companionable place.
Mae sóniad am Liger Lewis a "Pontcysyllte Aqueduct" yn codi ar arwydd y ddau, ond mae'r syniadau hyn yn fwy na dim ond galarer; maent yn ddatguddiad o'u brwdfrydedd cymunedol.
Mention of Liger Lewis and the "Pontcysyllte Aqueduct" arose as a sign for both, but these ideas were more than just conversation starters; they were a revelation of their communal enthusiasm.
"Nid yn unig amgueddfeydd sy'n ein cyfarwyddo ni," meddai Eleri gyda gwybodaeth o'r hyn sy'n tyfu rhwng nhw.
"Museums aren't the only things that guide us," said Eleri with insight into what was growing between them.
"Ond i weld lleoedd gyda'i gilydd. Beth am fynd i daith celf rywbryd?"
"But to see places together. How about going on an art trip sometime?"
"Byddwn wrth fy modd," atebodd Gwilym, am y tro cyntaf yn teimlo'n sicr o wneud cysylltiadau newydd ei hun.
"I would love that," replied Gwilym, for the first time feeling certain about making new connections himself.
Mae ei amheuaeth wedi cael ei wasgaru gan ei dirgryniad newydd am gysylltu â phobl.
His doubt had been dispelled by his new excitement for connecting with people.
Fe wnaethant gyfnewid gwybodaeth cyswllt, a gyda phensil o gyfnod hanes o dan fach uchel ei phen, taflodd Eleri awgrym i Gwilym, "Beth os nawr oedd dechrau rhywbeth diddorol?"
They exchanged contact information, and with a history-era pencil under her elegantly raised head, Eleri suggested to Gwilym, "What if now was the start of something interesting?"
Roedd yr haul yn dal i gelydna wrth iddynt adael yr amgueddfa gyda gwenau a chalonau iach, gan gydnabod bod ysbrydoliaeth a chyfeillgarwch weithiau'n dod â'u llwybrau annisgwyl.
The sun continued to linger as they left the museum with smiles and healthy hearts, acknowledging that inspiration and friendship sometimes bring their unexpected paths.
Nawr roedd yr amgueddfa'n fwy na safle i rhwng manteisio; roedd yn fan lle dechreuodd byrddau cyfeillgarwch.
Now the museum was more than just a place to visit; it was a place where bonds of friendship had started.
