Cynnwrf mawr oedd yn llenwi'r awyrgylch yn Eryri wrth i Rhys a Eira ddechrau eu harolwg gwyllt, gan edrych ar dirwedd coch-gold hunllefus y parc.
Great excitement filled the atmosphere in Eryri as Rhys and Eira began their wild survey, gazing at the nightmarish red-gold landscape of the park.
Roedd y gwynt wedi dechrau chwythu'n gryf o dan wawr porffor, gan gynnig profiad gwefreiddiol yn y gaeaf.
The wind began to blow strongly under a purple dawn, offering a thrilling experience in the winter.
Roedd Rhys yn symud ymlaen, ei gamera yn ei law, yn barod i ddal y golygfa berffaith pa bryd bynnag fyddai hynny'n dod.
Rhys moved forward, camera in hand, ready to capture the perfect scene whenever it might appear.
Eira, â'i bag o gyfarpar ac o bwyslais ar fanwl gywirdeb, roedd yn edrych arnodd bryderus.
Eira, with her bag of equipment and an emphasis on precision, was watching him anxiously.
"Mae'n hanfodol i ni gadw at amserlen y diwrnod, Rhys," meddai hi, ei llais yn cylchdroi gyda phryder.
"It's essential we stick to today's schedule, Rhys," she said, her voice swirling with concern.
"Mae'r tywydd yn troi, a ni ddylem lithro o'r llwybr."
"The weather is turning, and we shouldn't stray from the path."
O flodyn y llygaid, Rhys wnaeth gofnodi'r dirwedd o'i flaen gyda'i lens.
From the corner of his eye, Rhys recorded the landscape before him with his lens.
"Rhaid i mi ddod o hyd i dîn, Eira," ymatebodd ef gyda phenderfyniad.
"I have to find a nest, Eira," he replied with determination.
Yr oedd y banci oedd yn anrheg gwell na unrhyw darlunod arall yn ei feddwl.
A bank of cloud was more exciting than any other picture in his mind.
Wrth iddyn nhw symud ymhellach i mewn i goed y goedwig drwchus, roedd Rhys yn gweld y duw yn lleidio ar ei ben.
As they moved further into the dense forest trees, Rhys felt the tension easing off him.
"Mae gen i'r teimlad fod yma," meddai ef gan aros.
"I have a feeling it's here," he said, pausing.
Roedd y naw yn ymylu, yn barod ar unrhyw foment i ddod a thorri un o'r golygfeydd mwyaf prin.
Dusk was nearing, ready at any moment to come and break one of the rarest views.
Wedi oriau o aros mynych, dim ond y seiren cerwi i gyd i dorri'r tawelwch, fe aeth Rhys ychydig y tu hwnt, tuag at fan distaw eitha’r coed.
After hours of frequent waiting, only the sound of the deer broke the silence, and Rhys moved a little further, towards the quieter part of the woods.
Yna, drws ago nid oedd wedi ystyried chwaden ef yn y fan hon, mae'r geni a disgwyliedig, gyda'i bol goch yn byw a’i lygaid yn torri trwy dywyllwch.
Then, where he hadn't expected, a rare spectacle awaited—a bird with a red belly and eyes piercing through the darkness.
Ond roedd rhywbeth arall yn y gôg bach hwnnw.
But there was something else in that little hollow.
Nyth.
A nest.
Dechreuodd Rhys godi ei gamera yn araf, ond gydag annhwyn yn tyfu yn ei brest.
Rhys began to raise his camera slowly, but with nervousness growing in his chest.
Pan sylwodd am yr wyau, rhoddodd ei gamera i lawr, y poses peryglus yn fwy gwydd yn ei ben.
When he noticed the eggs, he put his camera down, the dangerous pose more evident in his mind.
Roedd y dewis yn glir.
The choice was clear.
"Does dim llun sydd gwerth ymatal bwy fi mewn lesmawnod fel hyn," meddai wrth ei hun finally. Rhoddodd winc.
"No photo is worth risking a moment like this," he finally said to himself, giving a wink.
Wedi cyrraedd yn ôl, fe edrychodd Eira mewn ffordd newydd arno.
Back at their base, Eira looked at him anew.
"Rhaid dweud bod gwiriadu’n braf," dywedodd hi yn ddag.
"I must say that verification is satisfying," she said with a chuckle.
"Mae'n bleser gweithio ochr yn ochr â rhywun sy’n gwybod mwy a’r amgyalchedd hwn."
"It's a pleasure to work alongside someone who knows so much about this environment."
Roedd Rhys wedi dysgu’r wers bwysig.
Rhys had learned an important lesson.
Roedd y tirlun yn oxog, Duw gyda'i golau’n tynnu llun o’r bywyd.
The landscape was magnificent, with nature painting a picture of life.
Mae gweithio gyda gilydd o ganlyniad iechyd ein Nod fwy na mwy ddetholus.
Working together resulted in the health of their aim being more selective.
Roedd Eira yn edrych ar wyneb Rhys, a dywedodd, "Diolch am wrando."
Eira looked at Rhys's face and said, "Thank you for listening."
Ac roedd rhywbeth newydd yn tyfu yn Rhys, nid dim ond dawn ffotograffiaeth, ond hefyd, dealltwriaeth ddyfnach o'r nod o wyllt a dirwedd.
And something new was growing in Rhys, not just the gift of photography but also a deeper understanding of the purpose of the wild and landscape.
