  • Roedd hi'n ddiwrnod rhewllyd yn y gaeaf, y dref wedi'i lapio mewn eira a phoer yn chwibanu drwy'r coed.

It was a freezing winter day, the town wrapped in snow, and the wind whistling through the trees.

  • Wrth ymyl hen warws diffaith, sefyllodd Rhys yn amheus.

Next to an old abandoned warehouse, Rhys stood hesitantly.

  • Roedd y lle'n dangos ei oedran, gyda bylchau yn y to a'r dodrefn wedi pydru oddi fewn.

The place showed its age, with gaps in the roof and furniture rotting inside.

  • Ac eto, yma roedd Rhys, tynnu nerth o rywle, yn chwilio am atebion.

And yet, there was Rhys, drawing strength from somewhere, searching for answers.

  • Gwen oedd y cyntaf i'w rybuddio.

Gwen was the first to warn him.

  • "Rhys, mae'n beryglus yno.

    "Rhys, it's dangerous there.

  • Ers y storm, mae'r lle'n gallu cwympo unrhyw funud.

Since the storm, the place could collapse at any moment."

  • " Ond oedd Rhys wedi cadw amser maith o gwmpas y dirgelwch, rhyfeddu gyda'r angen i ddarganfod amdani - ei fam a gollwyd ers ei blentyndod.

But Rhys had spent a long time around the mystery, fascinated by the need to discover more about it - his mother who had been lost since his childhood.

  • Roedd y gaeaf yn galed.

    Winter was harsh.

  • Y gwynt yn codi rhwng y creiriau o'r warws, eto serch hynny, cefnodd Rhys ar y byd tu allan.

The wind rose between the remnants of the warehouse, yet despite that, Rhys turned his back on the outside world.

  • Yn dynn, agorodd drysiau'r warws a cherdded i mewn.

Tightly, he opened the warehouse doors and walked inside.

  • Y ffenestri wedi torri, y llawr gorchuddiedig mewn llwch a rhew.

The windows were broken, and the floor covered in dust and frost.

  • Yn nes ymlaen, wrth chwilio, tarodd ei lygaid ar flychau llawn llwch.

Later on, while searching, his eyes caught dust-covered boxes.

  • Un o flychau o dan dolen di-sylw yng nghornel dywyll y lle cysgodol.

One of the boxes was under an inconspicuous handle in the dark corner of the sheltered place.

  • Yn llawn o chwilfrydedd, agorodd y blwch.

Filled with curiosity, he opened the box.

  • Ymhlith papurau a hen bethau, safai llythyr mannau.

Among papers and old things, stood a manila envelope.

  • Y neges arno'n teimlo'n dwym ym mreichiau Rhys.

The message on it felt warm in the arms of Rhys.

  • Rhys eisteddodd ar bôstyn llawn rhwd.

Rhys sat on a rusty post.

  • Roedd ei galon yn prysuro, ychwanegol at y sgrech y gwynt.

His heart raced, adding to the screech of the wind.

  • Guthodd am fisoedd, yn ceisio cynllunio mai’r gwirionedd ar ei mam oedd hyn.

He had struggled for months, trying to plan that this was the truth about his mother.

  • Teimlai Gwen ac eraill dan fathodyn cymylu o driniaeth, ond rhoddwyd gafael.

Gwen and others felt under a cloud of manipulation, but a grip had been given.

  • "Annwyl fab," dechreuodd y llythyr.

"My dear son," the letter began.

  • Roedd y geiriau'n unigol ac yn empatig.

The words were personal and empathetic.

  • Iesu Grist, roedd popeth fel daeth Rhys a chydraddoldeb i'r llawr.

Jesus Christ, everything appeared like Rhys and equilibrium fell to the floor.

  • Roedd teimlad o ofn a eiliadau o gyffro.

There was a feeling of fear and moments of excitement.

  • Heb wybod, dalent y llythyr i darllen drwyddo.

Without knowing, he grasped the letter to read through it.

  • Yn cynnwys cyfaddefau ei mam, yr aberthau a wnaeth hi yn unrhyw prynhawn gaeafol i ddiogelu ei dyfodol.

It contained his mother's confessions, the sacrifices she made on any winter afternoon to secure his future.

  • Roedd yn siocus, ond hefyd yn gwaredu.

It was shocking, but also relieving.

  • Dim ond am ei diogelwch Rhys oedd pethau wedi digwydd.

Everything that had happened was only for the safety of Rhys.

  • Ar ôl i'r llythyr daro diwedd, teimlodd Rhys ei galon yn newid.

After the letter came to an end, Rhys felt his heart change.

  • Yn rhywbeth arall - angerdd newydd i wynebu Dafydd, ei dad, a rhannu'r hanes newydd hwn.

Into something else - a new passion to face Dafydd, his father, and share this new history.

  • Roedd anymddangoslast o heddwch - teimlai gwynt gwan heddychol y tu mewn iddo.

There was an unexpected sense of peace - he felt a weak, peaceful breeze within him.

  • Torodd Rhys o'r warws.

    Rhys broke from the warehouse.

  • Nid gyda llawer o atebion, ond efallai gyda golwg newydd ar fyrddau’r teulu, y galw a’i mam.

Not with many answers, but perhaps with a new perspective on the family's journeys, the call, and his mother.

  • Roedd y dydd yn orffen gyda’r cysgodion wedi tynnu, ac roedd y gobaith bod y cysylltiadau a gysylltwyd y tro hwn wedi sefydlu gwe sylfaenol newydd.

The day ended with the shadows drawing back, and there was hope that the connections made this time had established a new foundational web.

  • Roedd hi'n ddiwrnod calonog am Calan Gaeaf - blwyddyn newydd Rhys.

It was a heartening day for Calan Gaeaf - a new year for Rhys.
