Arosodd Gareth o dan gysgod coeden, yn dal i feddwl am y daith fawr o’i flaen.
Gareth waited under the shade of a tree, still thinking about the great journey ahead of him.
Roedd yr haul haf yn tywynnu'n boeth ar ei wyneb, ond roedd cwmwl o amheuaeth dros ei feddwl.
The summer sun shone hot on his face, but a cloud of doubt lingered over his mind.
"Beth os nad yw'n werth?" meddyliodd dro ar ôl tro, ei wyneb yn llawn pryder.
"What if it's not worth it?" he thought repeatedly, his face full of worry.
Wrth ei ymyl, eisteddodd Alis, yn gwylio’r tonnau o laswellt yn symud yn y gwynt.
Next to him, Alis sat watching the waves of grass move in the wind.
"Gareth, mae’n sŵn mor hardd.
"Gareth, it’s such a beautiful sound.
Ond, ydy'n werth ni wneud hyn?" Holodd hi, ei llais yn bryderus ond annwyl.
But, is it worth us doing this?" she asked, her voice anxious yet tender.
Roedd Gareth yn ymateb yn ansicr, "Rydw i eisiau credu bod gan Glastonbury Tor rhywbeth i ddangos i mi.
Gareth responded uncertainly, "I want to believe that Glastonbury Tor has something to show me.
Eto... dydw i ddim wir yn gwybod."
Yet... I don't really know."
Ar y gwrthwyneb, oedd Rhys, yn llawn egni a barymau cyffro.
Opposite them was Rhys, full of energy and excitement.
"Mae'r daith hon bwysig!
"This journey is important!
Byddwch yn gweld!
You will see!
Mae’r goleuni yno, rwy’n siŵr o hynny," meddai'n gyffrous, fel pe bai eisoes yn gweld y porthladdau goleuni.
The light is there, I'm sure of it," he said excitedly, as if he could already see the ports of light.
Roedd y tri ar fin deithio i ben Glasbury Tor, hill gysegredig yn Sir Gaerloyw, lle roedd y Lughnasadh yn rhoi awel o eglurhad i rwydi'r byd.
The three were about to travel to the top of Glastonbury Tor, a sacred hill in Sir Gaerloyw, where the Lughnasadh brought a breeze of clarity to the world's webs.
Roedd y gwyrddni o amgylch, a'r cerrig hynafol hefo'u storis gudd, yn sefyll yn waith bonsai dan doring y caeau.
The greenery around, and the ancient stones with their hidden stories, stood like bonsai work under the dissecting fields.
Dechreuodd Gareth am fynd ymlaen, y galw o drysau anweledig arwyddion yn tynnu yn ei galon.
Gareth began to move forward, the call from invisible doors signs pulling at his heart.
Teimlai pwysau’r dderw ar ei ysgwydd, ymdroi â mantra Rhes “y dyfodiad.”
He felt the weight of the oak on his shoulder, turning with the mantra of Rhes “the arrival.”
Roedd angen iddo wrando arno ei hun ar y funud hon, nid ar Rhys neu Alis.
He needed to listen to himself at this moment, not to Rhys or Alis.
Cyrhaeddodd Gareth y brig, gydag Alis a Rhys yn aros yn ôl.
Gareth reached the top, with Alis and Rhys waiting back.
Yna, wrth iddo sefyll ar Glastonbury Tor, yttyfodd y cwmwl oddi ar y haul a roes y tirlun cyfan yn gudd o olau aur.
Then, as he stood on Glastonbury Tor, the cloud lifted from the sun and bathed the entire landscape in a shroud of golden light.
Roedd yn gorauog ferwi a bod, yn freuddwyd a realiti yn uno ar ei lannau.
It was a fleeting simmering, a merging of dream and reality on its banks.
O’r foment honno, teimlai Gareth heddwch nad oedd erioed wedi profi o’r blaen.
From that moment, Gareth felt a peace he had never experienced before.
Gwelodd bod cenhedlaeth ei waith, gyda phob troeon llawn pwysigrwydd ei hunain.
He saw that the generations of his work, with every turn full of their own importance.
Roedd yn gwybod nawr, nad oedd angen rhyw arwydd allanol i benderfynu ar ei bwrpas.
He knew now, that he didn't need some external sign to determine his purpose.
Roedd ei deimladau, a’i faith ei hun, yn ddigon.
His feelings, and his own journey, were enough.
Wrth ddychwelyd o Glastonbury, teimlai Gareth yn ystwyth ac yn hirhunannol.
As he returned from Glastonbury, Gareth felt limber and self-assured.
Anghofiodd ei amheuaeth, ei calon yn bwydo mewn doethineb hen ddoethion, gyda sgyrsiau ei gydymaith yn caneuon ymhell i mewn i ddiwlltwydd.
He forgot his doubt, his heart feeding on the wisdom of old sages, with the conversations of his companions as songs deep into the wild.
Ac felly, fortuniodd Gareth ymlaen mewn bywyd, gan wybod bod gan bob cam ei bwrpas.
And so, Gareth forged ahead in life, knowing that every step had its purpose.
Roedd arwyddion personol mwy penodol i'w wneud ei hun, gan ddilyn y ffordd a nodwyd gan ei heddur fewnol.
He was to make more specific personal signs for himself, following the path marked by his internal guide.
Roedd yr haul yn mynd a dychwelyd, ond roedd Gareth nawr wastad yn disgleirio.
The sun would come and go, but Gareth now always shone.
