  • I København, midt i travle Strøget, findes en høj, smilende mand.

    In Copenhagen, in the middle of the busy Strøget, there is a tall, smiling man.

  • Han hedder Lars.

    His name is Lars.

  • En dag går Lars gennem byen.

    One day, Lars walks through the city.

  • Hænderne gemt i jakkelommerne, benene i hurtige skridt.

    Hands tucked in his jacket pockets, legs taking quick steps.

  • Pludselig sker det.

    Suddenly, it happens.

  • Lars støder ind i en cykel.

    Lars bumps into a bicycle.

  • Han laver et lille hop og et "ups".

    He takes a little jump and says "oops".

  • Han ser på cyklen og får store øjne.

    He looks at the bike and his eyes widen.

  • Han kender den cykel.

    He recognizes the bike.

  • Den er gammel, blå og lidt rusten.

    It's old, blue, and a bit rusty.

  • Den tilhører hans vens datter, Lise.

    It belongs to his friend's daughter, Lise.

  • "Lars, hvad laver du?

    "Lars, what are you doing?"

  • " spørger en stemme.

    a voice asks.

  • Det er Lise.

    It's Lise.

  • Lises ansigt er lidt hårdt.

    Lise's face looks a bit stern.

  • Hun er ikke glad.

    She is not happy.

  • Lars rødmer og siger, "Undskyld, Lise.

    Lars blushes and says, "Sorry, Lise.

  • Jeg så ikke din cykel.

    I didn't see your bike."

  • " Han smiler, men Lise smiler ikke.

    He smiles, but Lise doesn't.

  • "Du har lavet en bule i min cykel, Lars.

    "You've dented my bike, Lars."

  • "Lars er ked af det.

    Lars feels sorry.

  • Lise er hans ven, og han vil ikke gøre hende ked af det.

    Lise is his friend, and he doesn't want to upset her.

  • Så han tager en dyb indånding.

    So he takes a deep breath.

  • "Lise, jeg laver din cykel," siger han.

    "Lise, I'll fix your bike," he says.

  • "Jeg går til cykelmanden med den.

    "I'll take it to the bike shop."

  • "Lise ser på Lars.

    Lise looks at Lars.

  • Hun nikker og giver ham cyklen.

    She nods and hands him the bike.

  • Lars går med den blå cykel til cykelmanden.

    Lars walks with the blue bike to the bike shop.

  • Han venter, mens cykelmanden laver cyklen.

    He waits while the bike shop worker fixes the bike.

  • Han er lidt nervøs.

    He is a bit nervous.

  • Men da han får cyklen tilbage, er den smuk.

    But when he gets the bike back, it looks beautiful.

  • Den er som ny.

    It looks like new.

  • Lars tager cyklen med tilbage til Lise.

    Lars takes the bike back to Lise.

  • "Jeg har lavet din cykel, Lise," siger han.

    "I have fixed your bike, Lise," he says.

  • "Jeg er ked af det.

    "I'm sorry."

  • "Lise ser på cyklen, og hun smiler.

    Lise looks at the bike and she smiles.

  • "Det er okay, Lars.

    "It's okay, Lars.

  • Tak for hjælpen.

    Thanks for your help."

  • "Lars smiler også.

    Lars also smiles.

  • Han er glad for, at Lise er glad.

    He is happy that Lise is happy.

  • Og sådan endte en dag i København.

    And that's how a day in Copenhagen ended.

  • Med en høj, smilende mand og en smuk, blå cykel.

    With a tall, smiling man and a beautiful, blue bike.
