They have no idea how quickly the storm is going to break in.

Innerhalb weniger Stunden ist das Schloss vom Schnee verschluckt.

Within a few hours, the castle is swallowed by snow.

The storm rages, and no connection to the outside world is possible anymore.

Klara kann kaum still sitzen. Sie denkt an die alte Legende von dem verborgenen Raum.

Klara can hardly sit still. She thinks of the old legend of the hidden room.

Aber Lukas und Friedrich wollen hier bleiben. „Es ist sicherer“, sagt Lukas.

But Lukas and Friedrich want to stay put. "It's safer," Lukas says.

Während die Freunde sich etwas Proviant teilen, entschließt sich Klara.

While the friends share some provisions, Klara makes a decision.

Im Schutz des wärmenden Kamins geht sie zur Tür.

Schritt für Schritt erkundet Klara das Schloss, bis sie vor einer alten, verzierten Tür steht.

Step by step, Klara explores the castle until she stands in front of an old, ornate door.

Das muss es sein. Doch die Tür ist verschlossen.

This must be it. But the door is locked.

Klara sucht nach einem Hinweis.

Klara looks for a clue.

Ihre Hände tasten über die Wände, bis sie einen losen Stein findet.

Her hands feel along the walls until she finds a loose stone.

Mit einem letzten Blick auf den Weg zurück öffnet sie ihn und die Tür gibt nach.

With one last look back at the path, she opens it, and the door gives way.

Im Raum entdeckt sie eine alte Truhe, verstaubt und voller Geheimnisse.

In the room, she discovers an old chest, dusty and full of secrets.

Sie hebt den Deckel, und ihr Herz schlägt schneller.

She lifts the lid, and her heart beats faster.

Aber der Sturm hat sich verschlimmert; draußen heulen die Winde.

But the storm has worsened; outside, the winds howl.

Klara schließt die Truhe und eilt zurück.

Klara closes the chest and hurries back.

Die Sicherheit ist wichtiger, merkt sie.

Safety is more important, she realizes.

Zurück bei Lukas und Friedrich fühlt sie die Erleichterung in deren Gesichtern.

Back with Lukas and Friedrich, she feels the relief on their faces.

„Was hast du gefunden?“ fragt Friedrich neugierig.

"What did you find?" Friedrich asks curiously.

Klara lächelt. „Ein Abenteuer für uns alle beim nächsten Mal“, sagt sie und weiß, dass sie nicht mehr allein wandern wird.

Klara smiles. "An adventure for all of us next time," she says, knowing she will not wander alone again.
