  • Tallinna raekoja platsil oli jõulumeeleolu täies hoos.

In the Tallinna town hall square, the Christmas atmosphere was in full swing.

Snow covered the old cobblestone roads, and the air was filled with the scent of gingerbread and fir trees.

  • Maarja ja Juhan jalutasid aeglaselt läbi rahvarohke turu.

Maarja and Juhan walked slowly through the crowded market.

  • "Maarja, ära kiirusta," ütles Juhan.

    "Maarja, don't rush," said Juhan.

  • Tema hääl oli lõbus ja rahulik.

His voice was cheerful and calm.

  • "Meil on terve päev ees."

"We have the whole day ahead of us."

  • Maarja vaatas oma ostunimekirja.

Maarja looked at her shopping list.

  • Iga lahtise kingapoe juures peatus ta, murede pilk näol.

She stopped at every open shoe store, a worried look on her face.

  • "Ma tahan leida täiuslikke kingitusi," vastas ta närviliselt.

"I want to find the perfect gifts," she replied nervously.

  • Just siis astus Reet nende juurde.

    Just then, Reet approached them.

  • "Maarja!

    "Maarja!

  • Juhan!"

    Juhan!"

  • hüüdis ta rõõmsalt.

    she exclaimed happily.

  • "Teid pole ammu näinud!"

"I haven't seen you in ages!"

  • Maarja naeratas Reeda nähes.

    Maarja smiled upon seeing Reet.

  • "Reet!

    "Reet!

  • Mis sa teed siin?"

    What are you doing here?"

  • "Lihtsalt naudin jõuluturgu.

    "Just enjoying the Christmas market.

  • Kas sa ostad kingitusi?"

    Are you shopping for gifts?"

  • küsis Reet.

    Reet asked.

  • "Külluslikult," vastas Maarja.

    "Abundantly," Maarja replied.

  • "Aga ma tunnen alati survet leida midagi erilist."

"But I always feel the pressure to find something special."

  • Juhan lõikas vahele.

    Juhan cut in.

  • "Miks sa ei proovi lihtsalt nautida?

"Why not just try to enjoy it?

  • Glögg ja käsitsi tehtud kaunistused - need on ju jõuluturul parimad."

Glögg and handmade decorations—they're the best part of the Christmas market."

  • Maarja hingas sügavalt sisse.

    Maarja took a deep breath.

  • "Võib-olla on sul õigus.

    "Maybe you're right.

  • Las ma proovin."

    Let me try."

  • Maarja sõi sooja piparkooki ja imetles jõulutuledes sütel jäälaternaid.

Maarja ate a warm gingerbread cookie and admired the ice lanterns lit by Christmas lights.

  • Ta hakkas esimest korda lõdvestuma.

She began to relax for the first time.

Suddenly, Maarja noticed her list was missing.

  • Ta muutus taas ärevaks.

    She became anxious again.

  • "Ma kaotasin kõik oma märkmed!"

    "I lost all my notes!"

  • ütles ta paanikas.

    she said, panicking.

  • Reet pani lohutuslikult käe tema õlale.

Reet placed a comforting hand on her shoulder.

  • "Võib-olla aitab see sind."

    "Maybe this will help you."

As they walked on together, Reet stopped at an old jewelry stand.

  • "Vaata neid!"

    "Look at these!"

  • ütles ta.

    she said.

  • Maarja nägi väikest hõbedast ripatsit, millele oli graveeritud lumemari.

Maarja saw a small silver pendant engraved with a snowberry.

  • See meenutas talle lapsepõlve ja pikki talveõhtuid.

It reminded her of childhood and long winter evenings.

  • "See on see, mida ma otsin," sosistas Maarja tänulikult.

"This is what I'm looking for," Maarja whispered gratefully.

  • Jõuluturult lahkudes oli Maarja kergendustunne.

As they left the Christmas market, Maarja felt a sense of relief.

The gifts in her hands seemed extraordinary, and the time spent with Reet was invaluable.

  • Maarja naeratas.

    Maarja smiled.

Not only did she have the perfect gifts, but also a new perspective.

  • Elu ei pidanud olema planeeritud.

Life didn't have to be planned.

  • Mõnikord, kui sa lõdvestad ja avatud oled, leiavad parimad asjad ise tee sinu juurde.

Sometimes, when you relax and remain open, the best things find their way to you.
