The Kõpu lighthouse stood proudly at the edge of the cliff as Kalev and Maarja arrived.
The spring wind tugged at their jackets and a storm warning was in the air.
Võimas meri loksus allpool ning kuskil kaugel paistis horisondil tumenevaid pilvi.
The mighty sea lapped below, and somewhere in the distance, darkening clouds loomed on the horizon.
Oli aeg.
It was time.
Kalev ja Maarja jalutasid mööda kitsast teed üles tuletorni poole, kandes väikest puidust urni, mis sisaldas nende vanaisa tuhka.
Kalev and Maarja walked along the narrow path towards the lighthouse, carrying a small wooden urn containing their grandfather's ashes.
Kalev had always been serious and responsible, especially today.
Maarja, his younger sister, looked at the path under her feet, her heart filled with sorrow and memories.
"Näed, Maarja," ütles Kalev, kui nad jõudsid tuletorni alla.
"Look, Maarja," Kalev said as they reached the base of the lighthouse.
"Vanaisa soovis, et me just siin, Kõpu tuletornis, teda mäletaksime."
"Grandfather wanted us to remember him right here, at Kõpu lighthouse."
Maarja nuuksatas kergelt.
Maarja sniffled lightly.
"Ma tean.
"I know.
Aga nii raske on lahti lasta."
But it's so hard to let go."
Kalev pani käe Maarja õlale.
Kalev placed a hand on Maarja's shoulder.
"Ma tean, õde.
"I know, sister.
Kuid see on meie viimane kingitus talle.
But this is our final gift to him.
Me peame kindlaks jääma."
We must stay strong."
Tuul tugevnes, ja pilved liikusid kiiresti peale.
The wind intensified, and the clouds moved in quickly.
See lisas nende etteastele kiireloomulisust.
It added a sense of urgency to their task.
Nad ronisid trepist üles, jõudes vaateplatvormile, kus kogu maailm avanes nende ees laiali.
They climbed the stairs, reaching the observation platform, where the whole world lay spread out before them.
Maarja võttis sügava hingetõmbe.
Maarja took a deep breath.
"See koht on tõesti ilus," ütles ta vaikselt.
"This place is truly beautiful," she said quietly.
Kalev noogutas.
Kalev nodded.
"Vanaisa teadis, mida ta soovis."
"Grandfather knew what he wanted."
Just sel hetkel hakkas vihma tibutama.
Just then, it began to drizzle.
Kasiilm muutus kurjaks, kuid nad otsustasid mitte viivitada enam.
The weather turned ominous, but they decided not to delay any longer.
Kalev looked at his sister and placed a reassuring arm around her.
"Koos teeme seda," ütles Kalev pehmelt.
"We'll do this together," Kalev said gently.
Maarja looked at her brother tenderly, her eyes filling with tears.
Koos avasid nad urni ja puhastusv tuul viis endise austusega vanaisa jäänused üle mere.
Together, they opened the urn, and the cleansing wind carried their grandfather's remains over the sea with respect.
Somehow, they felt as if their grandfather was with them, his loving spirit hovering around them.
Kui tuul rahunes ja taevast paistis esimesed päikesekiired läbi pilvede, tundsid nad südames kergendust.
As the wind calmed and the first rays of sun broke through the clouds, they felt a sense of relief in their hearts.
Maarja finally smiled, tears still on her cheeks, but peace in her heart.
"Kalev," ütles ta tasakesi, "aitäh, et aitasid mul leida rahu."
"Kalev," she said quietly, "thank you for helping me find peace."
Kalev naeratas soojalt.
Kalev smiled warmly.
He understood that sharing emotions did not make him weaker.
They both looked out at the sea, knowing that their grandfather was now forever with them.
The Kõpu lighthouse still stood behind them as a guardian, as it had done for ages.
And the change of the spring day had come, bringing with it peace and new hope.
