  • Lá amháin, sna haillte áille Cliffs of Moher, bhí triúr cairde, Sean, Caoimhe, agus Fionn, ag siúl go sona sásta.

One day, in the beautiful cliffs of Moher, three friends, Sean, Caoimhe, and Fionn, were happily walking.

  • Bhí an ghrian ag scoilteadh na gcloch agus bhí an aer úr ag séideadh ón bhfarraige.

The sun was splitting the stones and the fresh air was blowing from the sea.

  • Bhí Sean agus Fionn ag caint faoi sheanchas agus iad ag siúl, ach Caoimhe, bhí sí imithe chun féachaint ar na héin ar imeall na haille.

Sean and Fionn were talking about folklore as they walked, but Caoimhe had gone to look at the birds on the edge of the cliff.

  • Thóg Sean críochnú den slí chun Caoimhe a aimsiú, áfach, chuaigh rudaí mícheart.

Sean took a detour to find Caoimhe, however, things went wrong.

  • Chonaic Sean rud éigin bán ag an bhféar, gan smaoineamh, chreid sé gurb í Caoimhe é.

Sean saw something white in the grass and, without thinking, he believed it was Caoimhe.

  • "Caoimhe!

    "Caoimhe!"

  • " a ghlaoigh sé le gáire.

    he called with laughter.

  • Rith sé i dtreo an "bhréagán".

    He ran towards the "figure".

  • Ach ní Caoimhe a bhí ann.

    But it wasn't Caoimhe.

  • B'aoire uasal é a bhí ag ithe go sona sásta!

It was a noble shepherd happily munching on grass!

  • Nuair a chuala Fionn an gháire, tháinig sé ag rith ansin freisin agus chonaic sé Sean ag rince timpeall an aoire.

When Fionn heard the laughter, he also started running and saw Sean dancing around the shepherd.

  • Lig sé osna mhór agus é ag gáire go hard.

He let out a big sigh and laughed loudly.

  • "Ó, Sean!

    "Oh, Sean!

  • Tá tú ag caint le aoire!

You are talking to a shepherd!"

  • "Tháinig Caoimhe ar ais faoi dheireadh, ag tarraingt a hintinne ó na héin.

Caoimhe finally returned, pulling her mind from the birds.

  • "Cad tá ar siúl anseo?

    "What's going on here?"

  • " arsa sise le hionadh.

    she said in wonder.

  • D'inis Fionn an scéal di, agus chuir sí lámh lena béal le teann gáire.

Fionn told her the story, and she put her hand over her mouth, laughing heartily.

  • Thosaigh an aoire ag méé agus é ag siúl chun siúil ar shiúl ón tríréad.

The shepherd started bleating and walked away from the trio.

  • Ní raibh ann ach Sean, an-cléireach, agus a chuid cairde ag gáire go geal.

There were only Sean, a clever one, and his friends laughing brightly.

  • D'admhaigh Sean go raibh sé dall le haoibhneas an lae agus rinne gach duine magadh faoin eachtra ar feadh an lae.

Sean admitted he was blinded by the joy of the day and everyone made fun of the incident throughout the day.

  • Bhí siad sásta, agus bhí ceacht foghlamtha ag Sean – níl gach rud bán sa bhféar ina Caoimhe!

They were happy, and Sean learned a lesson - not everything white in the grass is Caoimhe!

  • Mar sin, lean siad ar aghaidh lena gcuid eachtraíochta i dtíre álainn na hÉireann, ag coinneáil cuimhne greannmhar an lae sin in a gcroíthe.

So, they continued with their adventure in the beautiful land of Ireland, keeping the humorous memory of that day in their hearts.
