  • Bhí Cormac ar thóir suaimhneas agus síocháin i measc na hualach a bhí aige.

Cormac was in search of peace and tranquility amidst the burdens he carried.

  • Ag tús an lae, shocraigh sé ar aghaidh a thabhairt ar Na Sceirí A Mhothar, áit a dúradh go raibh an radharc is áille ar an domhan.

At the start of the day, he decided to head to Na Sceirí A Mhothar, a place said to have the most beautiful view in the world.

  • Ní raibh sé ina aonar, áfach.

    However, he was not alone.

  • Bhí Aoife agus Niamh, a chairde dílse, lena thaobh.

Aoife and Niamh, his loyal friends, were by his side.

  • Bhí an fómhar buailte ar an talamh, agus bhí na dathanna seodúil ag lonrú ar fud na háite.

Autumn had taken hold of the land, and the jewel-like colors were shining everywhere.

  • D’éirigh an ghaoth níos géire agus an teocht ag titim de réir a chéile.

The wind grew sharper and the temperature gradually dropped.

  • Bhí na healtaí ag preabadh eatarthu agus na roic a raibh an t-uisce farraige feistithe orthu ag dó chucu féin.

The flocks were fluttering between them, and the rocks embraced by the sea water were warming themselves.

  • Go tobann, agus iad ar bun na gcloch, ghlan cos Cormaic ar chlár géar.

Suddenly, as they were at the base of the rocks, Cormac's foot slipped on a sharp board.

  • Baineadh tuisle as, agus thit sé go trom ar a dtúr.

He stumbled and fell heavily on his rear.

  • "Mo chos!

    "My foot!"

  • " a scread sé, ag iarraidh a ghoirt a cheilt.

he shouted, trying to conceal his pain.

  • Chrom Aoife agus Niamh air láithreach, a súile lán d'imní.

Aoife and Niamh bent to him immediately, their eyes full of concern.

  • "Lig dúinn cabhrú leat," arsa Aoife go cineálta.

"Let us help you," said Aoife kindly.

  • Ach dhiúltaigh Cormac, ábalta ar ghníomhas uaisle.

But Cormac refused, striving for noble deeds.

  • "Ní bheidh mé in ann seasamh suas nó as mo thuras," a d'fhógair sé lena bród, cé go raibh a fhios aige go raibh pian mhór air.

"I won't be able to stand up or abandon my journey," he announced proudly, even though he knew he was in great pain.

  • Shíl sé faoin trekking a bhí fágtha, na mílte a dàileadh dó i bpeirspictíocht sa spéir.

He thought about the remaining trek, the miles that unfolded before him into the sky's perspective.

  • Ach choinnigh sé air ag preabadh, le croí lán faoi bhrón agus súil ag féachaint i dtreo an deireadh.

But he kept on hopping, with a heart full of sorrow and eyes looking toward the end.

  • Faoi dheireadh, scread an ghrian dearg ar thar maoil an chuain.

Eventually, the red sun screamed over the horizon of the bay.

  • Ag dul in aois dá cuspaí fuaime, d'éiligh Cormac a áit ag imeall na haille.

Growing old by its soundscape, Cormac claimed his spot at the edge of the cliff.

  • Bhí Aoife agus Niamh ciúin, ag urramú a chinneadh.

Aoife and Niamh were silent, respecting his decision.

  • Nuair a shroich Cormac a cheann scríbe, sheas sé ansin le huaill foighne ag titim ón neamh.

When Cormac reached his destination, he stood there as a cry of patience descended from heaven.

  • Lig sé don deoir a bhí ag preabadh ina shúile eascú, agus ansin suaimhníodh a chroí.

He let the tear that had been jumping in his eyes escape, and then his heart was soothed.

  • Bhí a fhios aige nach bhféadfadh sé an rud caillte a athrú, ach bhí an tsíocháin aici, ag feitheamh uirthi i ngach tonn a shleamhnaigh faoi.

He knew he could not change what was lost, but peace was there, waiting for him in every wave that slipped beneath.

  • D’fhéach sé amach thar an aill, na farraige ag gluaiseacht go litriúil ina shúile, agus chonaic sé ar deireadh an solas a d’fhéadfadh sé dul ar aghaidh léi.

He looked out over the cliff, the sea literally moving in his eyes, and finally saw the light with which he could proceed.

  • Bhí na hoícheanna ag teacht níos fuaire, ach sheas a chinniúint sna geasa is teo de bhaintreach a chroí.

The nights were growing colder, but his destiny remained in the warmest embrace of his heartfelt solace.

  • D'fhág Cormac aonad leis an domhan arís, ach anois an domhan a thuairisceán lena fulaingt ghoirt.

Cormac returned united with the world once more, but now the world returned with his redemptive suffering.

  • Ach dá mbeadh sé dearfa de rud amháin, bhí sé ina chríonnacht a aimsiú sa nádúr eile fásta trasna aige.

But if he were certain of one thing, it was the wisdom found in the other nature he had come across.

  • Chuaigh Aoife, Niamh, agus Cormac ar ais go ciúin, ag iarraidh bealach na láimhe clé, agus d'fhéadfadh aon éisteacht bhaile ar fud a n-iontais.

Aoife, Niamh, and Cormac quietly went back, seeking the path to the left-hand side, and could hear the homeward call echoing in all their wonder.
