मोहल्ले की छतों पर लोग रंग-बिरंगी पतंगें उड़ाने की तैयारी कर रहे थे।

On the rooftops of the neighborhood, people were preparing to fly colorful kites.

पतंगों की दुकानों पर रंगीन मंझे और तरह-तरह के डिज़ाइन की पतंगें सजाई गई थीं।

Kite shops displayed colorful threads and various designed kites.

माहौल में तिल के लड्डुओं और गन्ने की मीठी खुश्बू घुली थी।

The air was filled with the sweet aroma of sesame ladoos and sugarcane.

यह था मकर संक्रांति का त्यौहार।

It was the festival of Makar Sankranti.

रोहन अपने घर के छत पर खड़ा होकर पतंग दोनों में गुम था।

Rohan stood on the terrace of his house, lost in flying his kite.

उसके मन में खुशी थी, पर एक डर भी था - उसका प्रतिद्वंद्वी अर्जुन।

He was excited but also had a fear—his rival, Arjun.

अर्जुन मोहल्ले का सबसे अच्छा पतंगबाज़ माना जाता था, और रोहन उसे हराना चाहता था।

Arjun was considered the best kite flyer in the neighborhood, and Rohan wanted to defeat him.

"भैया, मुझे भी पतंग उड़ानी है," मीरा ने कहा, जो रोहन की छोटी बहन थी।

"Brother, I want to fly a kite too," said Meera, who was Rohan's younger sister.

उसकी आँखों में उत्साह और शरारत थी।

Her eyes were filled with excitement and mischief.

"ठीक है, लेकिन पहले मुझे अर्जुन से जीतना है," रोहन ने कहा।

"Alright, but first, I have to beat Arjun," Rohan said.

वह अपनी पसंदीदा पतंग का मंझा कसकर खींच रहा था, जब अचानक मीरा ने उसे धक्का दिया।

He was tightening the thread of his favorite kite when suddenly Meera pushed him.

"ओह नहीं!" रोहन चिल्ला पड़ा।

"Oh no!" Rohan shouted.

उसकी पसंदीदा पतंग फट गई थी।

His favorite kite had torn.

मगर मीरा ने हार नहीं मानी।

But Meera didn’t give up.

"भैया, हम मिलकर इसे ठीक करेंगे," उसने कहा।

"Brother, we will fix it together," she said.

रोहन कुछ पल के लिए रुका, फिर उसने मीरा की मदद स्वीकार करने का निर्णय लिया।

Rohan paused for a moment, then decided to accept Meera's help.

दोनों ने मेहनत से एक नई पतंग तैयार की।

The two worked hard to craft a new kite.

मीरा ने पुरानी पतंग के टुकड़ों को जोड़कर इसे और मजबूत बनाया।

Meera reinforced it by joining the pieces of the old kite.

फिर आया पतंगबाजी का समय।

Then came the time for the kite-flying contest.

छतों पर लोग उत्सुकता से मुकाबला देख रहे थे।

People on the rooftops eagerly watched the competition.

रोहन और अर्जुन के बीच संघर्ष शुरू हुआ।

The battle between Rohan and Arjun began.

अर्जुन ने अपनी चालें तेज कर दीं। लेकिन रोहन ने भी हार नहीं मानी।

Arjun picked up speed with his moves, but Rohan didn't give up either.

मीरा ने चिल्लाकर हिम्मत दी, "भैया! वो आखिरी चाल याद है?"

Meera shouted to encourage him, "Brother! Remember the last move?"

रोहन को मीरा की सिखाई हुई अंतिम चाल याद आई।

Rohan recalled the final move Meera had taught him.

उसने उसे आजमाया और अर्जुन की पतंग कट गई।

He tried it, and Arjun’s kite was cut.

इस तरह रोहन जीत गया।

Thus, Rohan won.

सारे मोहल्ले ने उसका स्वागत किया।

The whole neighborhood welcomed his victory.

उसने मीरा को गले लगाया।

He hugged Meera.

"तुम्हारी वजह से मैं जीत सका। धन्यवाद!"

"I could win because of you. Thank you!"

मीरा मुस्कुराई।

Meera smiled.

इस बार रोहन ने सीखा था कि परिवार और भाई-बहन के सहयोग से जीत असंभव नहीं होती।

This time Rohan had learned that with the support of family and siblings, victory is not impossible.

त्योहार की यह जीत उन्हें हमेशा याद रही।

This win on the festival remained memorable for them.

उस दिन के बाद, रोहन और मीरा की दोस्ती और भी गहरी हो गई थी।

From that day on, the friendship between Rohan and Meera grew even stronger.
