The sound of rain on the canvas roofs of the tržnica in Zagreb mingles with the scent of spring flowers.

Ana makes her way through the crowd, holding Matej by the hand.

  • Proljeće u Zagrebu donosi novu nadu i šarene štandove puni starim knjigama i sjećanjima.

Spring in Zagreb brings new hope and colorful stalls filled with old books and memories.

  • "Sada ćemo pronaći savršene knjige za našu djecu," kaže Ana.

"Now we'll find the perfect books for our children," Ana says.

Her desire to bring joy to the children in the orphanage shines through every smile.

Matej, with a smile full of excitement, thinks about the stories he would like to write one day.

  • "Moramo pažljivo birati," upozori ona dok staju kraj prvog štanda prepunog knjiga.

"We have to choose carefully," she warns as they stop by the first stall overflowing with books.

  • Ali oblaci iznad tržnice postaju tamniji, prijeteći kišom.

But the clouds above the tržnica are becoming darker, threatening rain.

  • "Kiša ne smije pokvariti naš dan," odlučno kaže Ana dok polako prebire po knjigama.

"The rain mustn't ruin our day," Ana says resolutely as she slowly picks through the books.

  • Matej, iako mlad, sposoban je pregovarač.

Matej, although young, is a capable negotiator.

  • Vidi knjigu koju želi - stari roman o avanturama.

He sees a book he wants—a vintage novel about adventures.

"This book could be the perfect inspiration," he says more to himself than to Ana.

  • "Koliko košta ova knjiga?

    "How much is this book?"

  • " pita Matej prodavača, pokazujući na omiljenu knjigu.

Matej asks the vendor, pointing to his favorite book.

The vendor glanced irritably at the dark clouds, so they quickly agreed on a price reduction.

  • No kiša počinje sve jače padati.

But the rain starts to fall harder.

  • Ljudi počinju sklanjati svoje stvari.

People begin to pack up their things.

  • Voda bubnja po kamenom trgu.

Water drums on the stone square.

Ana and Matej need to hurry, but then they notice an old lady carefully packing books into a box.

  • "Možda može pomoći," šapne Matej.

"Maybe she can help," Matej whispers.

  • Ana kima i prilazi.

    Ana nods and approaches.

"We need books for the children in our orphanage," Ana explains, her voice full of hope.

The lady pauses, looks at the other boxes, and wordlessly gives them an entire box of books at a very reduced price.

  • Matej i Ana zahvalno prihvaćaju.

    Matej and Ana accept gratefully.

Despite the rain turning into a downpour, the box is filled with magical stories and possibilities.

  • Ana osjeća novu snagu dok Matej s osmišljenim planovima za pisanje svakojakih priča vraća kutiju u sirotište.

Ana feels a new strength as Matej, with plans to write all sorts of stories, carries the box back to the orphanage.

  • Knjige ispunjavaju sobe djece nadom i uzbuđenjem.

The books fill the children's rooms with hope and excitement.

With the smiles of the children receiving the books, Ana understands that the most important feeling is belonging.

  • Matej, prepun povjerenja, vidi da njegovi snovi o pisanju mogu postati stvarni.

Matej, full of confidence, sees that his dreams of writing can become a reality.

The rain has cleared the air, and the sun breaking through the clouds brings a new beginning for all of them.

The tržnica may have closed early, but their hearts are open to new adventures.
