Non voleva solo essere lo ""strano" dietro al computer.

He didn't want to be just the ""weird" guy behind the computer.

Voleva dimostrare che poteva essere divertente e sociale.

He wanted to show that he could be fun and social.

Fu allora che vide l'annuncio del karaoke:

Bianca stava spiegando le regole.

Luca decise di tentare.

Non era un bravo cantante, ma doveva provarci.

Luca disse, ""Parteciperò al karaoke!"

Bianca sorrise.

Bianca smiled.

“Grande, Luca! Ci divertiremo tutti!”

Luca si sentì subito migliorare.

Luca immediately felt better.

Forse questo era il suo momento.

Prese il microfono.

He took the microphone.

Le mani sudate.

His hands were sweaty.

I colleghi lo incoraggiarono.

His colleagues cheered him on.

Iniziò a cantare.

Sbagliava tempo, andava stonato.

Ma nessuno rideva.

Anzi, applaudivano.

Mentre Massimo scherzava con un collega, urtò il tavolo del karaoke.

La risata contagiò tutti.

“Scusate, ragazzi!” disse Massimo sopra le risate.

“Sorry, guys!” Massimo said above the laughter.

“Ho rovinato tutto!”

“I ruined everything!”

“No, Massimo,” rispose Bianca.

“No, Massimo,” Bianca replied.

“Hai reso tutto più divertente.”

“You made it more fun.”

Luca si sentì libero.

Luca felt free.

Non gli importava più di sembrare perfetto.

He no longer cared about appearing perfect.

Era felice.

He was happy.

Stava bene.

He felt good.

E per la prima volta si sentiva parte del gruppo.

And for the first time, he felt part of the group.

Alla fine della serata, Luca, Bianca e Massimo parlarono di tutto.

At the end of the evening, Luca, Bianca, and Massimo talked about everything.

Di lavoro, di vita, e risero ancora dell'incidente.

About work, life, and laughed again about the incident.

Luca aveva capito.

Non doveva essere qualcun altro per piacere a tutti.

E così, quella serata di disastro trasformato in risate, divenne una delle più belle per Luca.

Sapeva ora che la chiave era l'autenticità.

Essere felici significava condividere le gioie e anche le piccole sfortune con gli altri.

E di certo, l’amicizia appena nata con Massimo e Bianca era il regalo più grande.
