秋の奈良の森にある古代遺跡。

In the autumn forest of Nara, lies an ancient ruin.

その空気はひんやりとし、地面は赤や金色の葉で覆われている。

The air is chilly, and the ground is covered with red and golden leaves.

木々の間から差し込む光が、苔むした石の構造物を優しく照らしている。

Light filters softly through the trees, gently illuminating the moss-covered stone structures.

そこに、ハルカと彼女の弟カズオ、親友のユキが立っていた。

There stood Haruka, her younger brother Kazuo, and their friend Yuki.

「ここが噂の遺跡ね。すごいなぁ。」

This is the rumored ruin. It's amazing,

ユキは目を輝かせる。

Yuki said, her eyes sparkling with excitement.

しかし、カズオは懐疑的な顔をした。

「ほんとにそんなお守りなんてあるの？」

The inside of the ruins was maze-like and intricate.

古い石の階段を慎重に降りつつ、ハルカは振り返り二人を見た。

As Haruka carefully descended the old stone stairs, she turned back to look at the other two.

「大丈夫、私たちならできるよ。きっと。」

Don't worry, we can do it. I'm sure.

三人は静かに歩を進めたが、ユキは怖々と尋ねた。

The three quietly continued, but Yuki asked fearfully,

「ハルカ、本当に大丈夫？お化けとか、何か危険なものが出てきたりしないよね？」

Are you really sure, Haruka? There won’t be ghosts or anything dangerous, right?

ハルカは微笑んで、肩を叩いた。

しばらく進むと、奥に狭い通路が見えてきた。

その先には、お守りが隠れていると伝えられる場所がある。

カズオが問うた。

三人は遺跡を離れ、秋の葉を踏みながら歩いた。

The three left the ruins, walking over the autumn leaves.
