冬の朝、窓の向こうから降り積もる雪が教室の静けさを覆っていました。

On a winter morning, snow fell and accumulated outside, covering the quietness of the classroom.

教室の中は暖かく、学生たちは時折窓を見つめ、ため息をつきました。

Inside the room, it was warm, and the students occasionally gazed out the window with a sigh.

愛子は窓際の席に座り、窓の外を見ていました。

Aiko sat by the window, looking outside.

彼女の心は静かではありませんでした。

Her heart was not calm.

「晴人、どこ行くの？」愛子は小声で彼に問いかけました。

"Haruto, where are you going?" Aiko asked him in a small voice.

晴人は彼女の隣でノートに落書きをしていました。

Haruto, sitting next to her, was doodling in his notebook.

彼はため息をつき、心配そうに彼女を見ました。

He sighed and looked at her worriedly.

「お父さんのところへ行くよ。遠くの町に引っ越すんだ。」

"I'm going to my father's place. We're moving to a distant town."

その一言で、愛子の心は崩れました。

With those words, Aiko's heart crumbled.

彼女は信じられませんでした。

She couldn't believe it.

最愛の友達が突然、自分の世界から去ってしまうという事実を。

The fact that her beloved friend was suddenly leaving her world.

愛子は動揺し、手を握りしめました。

Aiko, upset, clenched her hands.

「でも、卒業まであと少しだよ。」彼女の声は震えていました。

"But there's only a little time until graduation," she said, her voice trembling.

晴人は笑顔を作り、「うん。

Haruto forced a smile, "Yeah.

でも、今がチャンスだと思うんだ。

But I think now's the chance.

お父さんと新しいスタートを切りたい。」

I want to start anew with my dad."

授業が始まると、愛子はどうにかして平静を装いました。

When classes began, Aiko somehow managed to pretend to be calm.

でも、彼女の頭の中は晴人のことでいっぱいでした。

But her head was filled with thoughts of Haruto.

昼休みになり、教室で友達と談笑していると、晴人は思わず彼の引っ越しの話を他の生徒たちに漏らしました。

During lunch break, while chatting with friends in the classroom, Haruto unintentionally revealed the news of his move to the other students.

「引っ越すの？もうすぐ？」驚いた声が上がりました。

"You're moving? So soon?" Surprised voices rose.

愛子はもう黙っていることはできませんでした。

Aiko could no longer remain silent.

立ち上がって晴人をまっすぐ見つめました。

She stood up and looked Haruto straight in the eye.

小さな声でも心に響くように、彼女は言いました。

In a small voice that resonated with her heart, she said.

「晴人、私たち友達だよね？

"Haruto, we're friends, right?

私はあなたが新しいことを求める気持ちを尊重したい。

I want to respect your wish to seek new things.

だけど、いなくなることを寂しく思うよ。」

But I'll miss you if you're gone."

彼女の言葉に教室は静かになり、みんなが二人のやりとりを見守っていました。

Her words hushed the classroom, as everyone watched their exchange.

晴人は少し驚き、そして柔らかい目で愛子を見ました。

Haruto, slightly surprised, looked at Aiko with gentle eyes.

「愛子、ありがとう。

"Aiko, thank you.

本当にありがとう。

Really, thank you.

僕もしっかり連絡を続けるよ。

I'll keep in touch, for sure.

いつか、もっと強くなって帰ってくる。」

Someday, I'll come back stronger."

その瞬間、愛子は気づきました。晴人の幸せを願うことも大切なんだと。

In that moment, Aiko realized it was also important to wish for Haruto's happiness.

彼の選択を尊重しようと決心しました。

She resolved to respect his decision.

数日後、晴人は新しい生活に向けて学校を去りました。

A few days later, Haruto left the school to start his new life.

立ち止まらず、そして振り返らず。

Without stopping and without looking back.

愛子はその後、どんなときも彼の幸せを心から祈るようにしました。

From then on, Aiko always prayed for his happiness with all her heart.

冬の寒さの中で、愛子は強さを手にしました。

In the cold of winter, Aiko found strength.

新しい出会いには素晴らしい瞬間が待っているかもしれないと信じました。

She believed that wonderful moments might be waiting with new encounters.

雪の中で彼女は微笑みました。

She smiled in the snow.

晴人も同じ空を見ているだろう。

Haruto is probably looking at the same sky.

いつか、また一緒に笑える日が来ると信じて。

She believed that one day, they'll laugh together again.
