冬の早朝、空気が冷たい中、アキラとユリは嵯峨野竹林を歩いていました。

今年の節分も、もうすぐです。

アキラは竹林の静けさを楽しむように歩きながら、ユリへ目をやりました。

As Akira walked, enjoying the bamboo forest's tranquility, he glanced at Yuri.

彼女の顔には、どこか遠くを見つめるような表情が浮かんでいます。

Her face bore an expression as if gazing into the distance.

何かを避けているかのように、彼女は竹の美しさに話題を逸らそうとしていました。

「ユリ、この場所、覚えている？」アキラは少し微笑み、思い出を引き出そうとしました。

"Yuri, do you remember this place?" Akira smiled slightly, trying to evoke memories.

「昔、ここで迷子になったよね。」その時の面白い出来事を思い出して笑いますが、ユリは口元を引き締めたままでした。

"We once got lost here, didn't we?" He laughed, recalling the amusing event of that time, but Yuri kept her lips tightly shut.

「ええ、よく覚えてる。」ユリは答えましたが、その声はどこか冷めています。

"Yes, I remember it well," Yuri replied, but her voice was somewhat dispassionate.

「でも、今日はその話はいいわ。竹がすごくきれいだから。」

"But today, let's not talk about that. The bamboo is so beautiful."

その時、滑らかな道に霜が積もっていることにユリは気づかず、突然バランスを崩しました。

At that moment, Yuri, unaware of the frost accumulated on the smooth path, suddenly lost her balance.

「キャッ！」と驚いた声が竹林に響きます。

"Kya!" her startled voice echoed through the bamboo forest.

アキラはすぐに彼女を支え、その瞬間、二人の心の距離も縮まりました。

Akira quickly supported her, and in that moment, the emotional distance between them also closed.

少し恥ずかしそうにユリは言いました。「ありがとう、アキラ…。それに、前に言い過ぎたこと、ずっと気にしてたの。ごめんね。」

Feeling a bit embarrassed, Yuri said, "Thank you, Akira… I've been thinking about how I spoke too much before. I'm sorry."

アキラは微笑みました。「僕も、もっとちゃんと自分の気持ちを伝えるべきだったね。」と答えました。

It felt as if the quiet sound of the bamboo was celebrating the rebirth of their friendship.
