新宿の喫茶店は、いつもにぎやかだ。

The kissaten in Shinjuku is always bustling.

窓から見える通りは、早夏の日差しに照らされている。

The street visible from the window is bathed in the early summer sun.

店内にはコーヒー豆の香ばしい香りが漂い、客たちはそれぞれの時間を過ごしている。

Inside the shop, the fragrant aroma of coffee beans drifts, and the patrons each spend their time in their own way.

その一角には、七夕が近づくにつれて色とりどりの短冊が飾られた小さな願いの木がある。

In one corner, as Tanabata approaches, there is a small wish tree adorned with colorful strips of paper.

ユキはその喫茶店の奥の席に座りながら、友達であるアイコと共にノートを広げていた。

Yuki is sitting at a seat in the back of the kissaten, alongside her friend Aiko, with a notebook open in front of them.

しかし、その視線はどうしても印象的なバリスタ、ヒロシに向けられてしまう。

However, her gaze is irresistibly drawn to the striking barista, Hiroshi.

ヒロシは店内を歩きながら、客たちに笑顔でサービスを続けていた。

Hiroshi, while walking around the shop, continues to serve customers with a smile.

アイコは、ユキの様子を見て何かを察する。

Aiko, noticing Yuki's demeanor, senses something.

「ユキ、もうすぐ七夕だね」とアイコが言った。

"Yuki, Tanabata is coming up soon, isn't it?" Aiko says.

ユキはうなずく。彼女の心には、ヒロシへの思いが鮮やかに存在していた。

Yuki nods. In her heart, her feelings for Hiroshi existed vividly.

けれど、どうやって伝えればいいのかわからない。

Yet, she doesn’t know how to express them.

アイコもまた、何かを抱えているようだった。

Aiko also seemed to be harboring something.

「ヒロシを、七夕祭りに誘ってみたら？」とアイコは提案する。

"Why don't you invite Hiroshi to the Tanabata festival?" Aiko suggests.

「でも、アイコもヒロシに…」ユキは心配そうに言った。

"But, Aiko, you also have feelings for Hiroshi..." Yuki says worriedly.

友達の気持ちを考えると、ためらいが生まれる。

Considering her friend's feelings, she hesitates.

突然、ヒロシがユキたちのテーブルにやって来た。

Suddenly, Hiroshi comes over to their table.

「何かいる？」とヒロシが優しく聞いた。

"Nanika iru?" he asks kindly.

ユキはどぎまぎしながら、「七夕祭り、一緒に来ない？」と小さな声で言った。

Yuki, flustered, says in a small voice, "Would you like to go to the Tanabata festival with me?"

その言葉にアイコは微笑んだ。

Aiko smiles at those words.

ヒロシも嬉しそうに答える。「いいね、楽しそうだ！」

Hiroshi also responds joyfully. "Sounds great, it should be fun!"

数日後、ユキは喫茶店に再び訪れたとき、アイコが特別な話を始めた。

A few days later, when Yuki visits the kissaten again, Aiko starts a special conversation.

「実は、私、海外での仕事が決まったの。だから、ヒロシへの気持ちはもう整理したよ。

"Actually, I got a job overseas. So, I've already sorted out my feelings for Hiroshi.

ユキこそ、勇気を出して。」

Yuki, you should be brave."

ユキは驚いた。

Yuki was surprised.

そして安堵し、勇気をもらった。

Then, she felt relieved and encouraged.

「ありがとう、アイコ。」

"Thank you, Aiko."

七夕の夜、星空の下で、ユキはヒロシに向き合った。

On the night of Tanabata, under the starlit sky, Yuki faced Hiroshi.

「ヒロシ、実は…あなたが好きです。」

"Hiroshi, the truth is... I like you."

ヒロシは優しく笑った。

Hiroshi smiled gently.

「ユキ、僕もずっと気づいてたんだ。

"Yuki, I've always known.

嬉しいよ。」

I'm happy."

その瞬間、ユキは自分が変われたことを感じた。

In that moment, Yuki felt she had changed.

今の気持ちを大切にしよう、そう思った。

She thought to cherish her current feelings.

そして、新宿のにぎやかな喫茶店は、今日も変わらず彼らを迎えてくれる。

And the bustling kissaten in Shinjuku would continue to welcome them every day, unchanged.
