오늘은 지호의 학교에서 북한산 국립공원으로 소풍 가는 날이었다.

Today was the day for Jiho’s school field trip to Bukhansan National Park.

여름의 따가운 햇살 아래, 푸른 숲길이 펼쳐져 있었다.

Under the scorching summer sun, the green forest trail lay spread out before them.

지호는 늘 자연을 사랑했지만, 마음속에는 두려움도 자리 잡고 있었다.

Jiho had always loved nature, but lurking within him was a fear.

그는 고소공포증이 있었고, 운동 신경이 뛰어난 민재 옆에서 자신감이 부족했다.

He had acrophobia, and his self-confidence waned beside Minjae, who was athletically gifted.

그러나 이번에는 마음을 다잡았다.

However, this time he steeled himself.

지호에게는 꼭 해내고 싶은 목표가 있었다.

Jiho had a goal he was determined to achieve.

산 정상에 올라가 멋진 경치를 사진으로 담고 싶었다.

He wanted to climb to the peak and capture a breathtaking view in a photograph.

하지만 그 목표를 이루려면 먼저 자신을 이겨내야 했다.

But to achieve this goal, he first needed to overcome his own fears.

지호의 옆에는 수진이 있었다.

Next to Jiho stood Sujin.

늘 그를 응원해주는 좋 친구였다.

She was always a good friend who cheered him on.

"지호야, 너라면 할 수 있어!

"Jiho, you can do it!"

" 수진이 말했다.

Sujin said.

지호는 수진의 말이 큰 힘이 됐다.

Her words gave Jiho significant strength.

두렵지만, 이번에는 꼭 해내고 싶었다.

Even though he was afraid, this time he was determined to succeed.

지호는 수진과 함께 산을 오르기 시작했다.

Jiho started ascending the mountain together with Sujin.

처음에는 괜찮았다.

At first, he was fine.

나무 사이로 불어오는 시원한 바람이 기분 좋았다.

The cool breeze blowing through the trees felt refreshing.

그러나 중턱에 이르자 지호의 마음은 흔들리기 시작했다.

However, as they reached midway, Jiho's heart began to waver.

앞에는 가파른 오르막이 기다리고 있었다.

A steep climb awaited them ahead.

"지호야, 여기까지 왔잖아?

"Jiho, you've come this far, right?

조금만 더 가자!

Let's go just a bit further!"

" 수진이 격려했다.

Sujin encouraged.

지호는 눈을 감고 숨을 깊이 들이마셨다.

Jiho closed his eyes and took a deep breath.

그동안 나약하다고만 생각했던 자신이었지만, 수진의 믿음과 자신의 목표가 다시 용기를 주었다.

Though he had always thought of himself as weak, Sujin’s faith and his personal goal gave him courage again.

심장이 쿵쿵 뛰었다.

His heart pounded.

한 발 한 발 조심스럽게 움직이며 드디어 산 정상에 도착했다.

Carefully, he moved one step at a time until he finally reached the summit.

그곳에서 바라본 서울의 전경은 그야말로 대단했다.

The view of Seoul from there was truly magnificent.

구름 하나 없는 파란 하늘 아래에 서울이 펼쳐졌다.

Under a cloudless blue sky, Seoul spread out before him.

지호는 가방에서 카메라를 꺼내 사진을 찍었다.

Jiho took out his camera from his bag and snapped the picture.

경치를 담아내는 순간, 그는 진심으로 자신이 해냈다는 기쁨을 느꼈다.

At the moment he captured the view, he genuinely felt the joy of having accomplished his goal.

그날 이후로 지호는 달라졌다.

From that day onwards, Jiho changed.

자신감이 생겼고, 조금 더 용감해졌다.

He became more confident and a bit braver.

이제 지호는 알고 있었다.

Now he knew.

자신은 생각보다 더 용감하고, 어떤 도전도 이겨낼 수 있다는 것을.

He was braver than he thought and could overcome any challenge.

오늘 북한산에서의 경험은 그의 마음속에 강한 울림으로 남았다.

The experience at Bukhansan that day remained a strong resonance in his heart.
