지호는 남산 서울타워 아래 서 있었다.

주위에는 벚꽃이 바람에 살랑거리고, 나들이 온 사람들은 여기저기서 사진을 찍고 있었다.

봄의 기운은 절정에 달했지만 지호의 마음은 무거웠다.

"지호, 어떻게 그럴 수 있어?" 수민의 목소리는 분명하면서도 격양되어 있었다.

"Jiho, how could you do that?" Sumin's voice was clear yet agitated.

지호는 마음이 먹먹했다.

Jiho felt suffocated.

수민은 지호가 한 비밀을 드러냈다고 생각하고 있었다.

Sumin thought Jiho had revealed a secret they shared.

지호는 그런 의도가 아니었다.

실수일 뿐이었다.

"미안해, 수민." 지호는 진심을 담아 말했다.

"I'm sorry, Sumin," Jiho said sincerely.

"난 정말 그러려던 게 아니었어.

"I really didn't mean to.

그냥... 그저 말이 흘러나왔을 뿐이야."

It just... slipped out."

수민은 조금 떨어진 곳에서 팔짱을 끼고 서 있었다.

Sumin stood a little distance away with her arms crossed.

"우린 비밀을 공유했잖아.

"We shared a secret.

날 믿지 않았던 거야?"

Didn't you trust me?"

지호는 벚꽃나무가 만들고 있는 그림자를 밟으며 한 발짝 다가갔다.

Jiho stepped closer, stepping on the shadows cast by the cherry blossom trees.

"정말 그런 게 아니야.

"It wasn't like that.

나도 아파.

I’m hurt too.

네가 화난 것을 알아.

I know you're angry.

그런데 우리 그렇게 끝내야 할까?"

But should we end it like this?"

멀리서 바라보이는 서울타워가 지호의 시선을 끌었다.

The distant view of Seoul Tower caught Jiho's attention.

언제나 당당하게 서 있는 타워처럼, 지호도 용기를 내보기로 했다.

Just like the tower that stood proudly, Jiho decided to muster some courage too.

"수민, 진짜 미안해.

"Sumin, I am truly sorry.

앞으로는 더 솔직할게. 그래서 네가 나를 믿을 수 있게 할게."

I’ll be more honest from now on so you can trust me."

지호의 말에 수민은 눈길을 돌렸다.

Hearing Jiho's words, Sumin diverted her gaze.

그리고는 잠시 침묵이 흘렀다.

A moment of silence followed.

바람은 여전히 산뜻하게 불어왔고, 벚꽃잎은 발밑으로 떨어졌다.

The wind still blew pleasantly, and cherry blossom petals fell at their feet.

"알겠어, 지호.

"Okay, Jiho.

나도 너무 경솔했나 봐.

Maybe I was too hasty too.

우리 얘기 더 할 수 있어?" 수민은 톤을 낮추며 말했다.

Can we talk more?" Sumin said, lowering her tone.

지호는 고개를 끄덕였다.

Jiho nodded.

"그래, 민재도 곧 도착할 거야.

"Yeah, Minjae will be here soon.

그때 같이 앉아서 차분히 얘기해보자."

Let's sit down and talk calmly then."

수민은 미소 지으며 응답했다.

Sumin responded with a smile.

두 사람은 벚꽃이 흩날리는 길을 따라 걸었다.
