Māris pasmaidīja nezibīgi.

Māris smiled briefly.

"Ir daudz jauna, vēl mēģinu aprast."

"There's a lot that's new, still trying to get used to it."

Viņu saruna attīstījās ātri.

Their conversation developed quickly.

Viņi atklāja, ka abiem patīk vēsture un grāmatas.

They discovered that they both enjoyed history and books.

"Es mīlu lasīt par Latvijas vēsturi," teica Anna.

"I love reading about Latvija's history," Anna said.

Māris piekrita, "Un man patīk 20. gadsimta literatūra."

Anna piebilda, "Varbūt kādreiz varam kopā apmeklēt muzeju?"

Anna added, "Maybe we can visit a museum together sometime?"

Māris joprojām bija mazliet atturīgs, bet Annas entuziasms viņu iedrošināja.

Māris was still a bit reserved, but Anna's enthusiasm encouraged him.

Viņi sarunāja pabūt kopā nedēļas nogalē.

They planned to spend some time together over the weekend.

Šī saruna palīdzēja redzēt Mārim, ka viņš tomēr var būt daļa no šīs komandas.

Pēc semināra Māris jutās citādāk.

Birojā viņš vairāk runāja ar kolēģiem, jautāja par projektiem un dalījās idejās.

Lēnām, bet droši, sākās draudzība ar Annu.
