Rīgas lidosta rudens laikā bija pilna ar enerģiju.
The Rīgas airport was full of energy during the autumn.
As golden and red leaves swirled outside the glass doors, buses and cars formed a flow outside.
Cilvēki steidzās no vienas puses uz otru.
People hurried from one side to the other.
Starp viņiem bija Aleksis, ceļotājs no Latvijas.
Among them was Aleksis, a traveler from Latvija.
Viņa acis skrēja pāri cilvēku sejām, meklējot kaut ko interesantu.
His eyes scanned the faces of the people, searching for something interesting.
Aleksis had arrived at Rīgas airport to transfer to another flight.
Taču viņa uzmanību piesaistīja kaut kas neparasts.
However, something unusual caught his attention.
Netālu no krēslu rindas atpūtas zonā bija novietota mistiska čemodāns, pamests un bez uzraudzības.
Near the row of chairs in the lounge area was a mysterious suitcase, abandoned and unattended.
Aleksis pagāja tam garām, jūtot, ka viņa ziņkāre tiek spēcīgi uzmodināta.
Aleksis walked past it, feeling his curiosity intensely awakened.
"Kas varētu būt tajā čemodānā?
"What could be in that suitcase?"
" viņš prātoja.
he wondered.
Unusual dreams swirled in his mind – maybe jewels, something valuable, or a crazy secret.
Bet lidostas likumi bija stingri – neviens nedrīkstēja pieskarties neuzraudzītajai bagāžai.
But the airport rules were strict – no one was allowed to touch unattended luggage.
Tas bija drošības risks.
It was a security risk.
Viņš zināja, ka drīz varētu ierasties drošības dienests, un šo situāciju risinātu viņi, nevis jebkurš cits.
He knew that soon the security service could arrive and handle the situation, not anyone else.
"Māra," Aleksis pagaidīja savai paziņai, "kaut kas nav kārtībā.
"Māra," Aleksis waited for his friend, "something isn't right.
Tas čemodāns – nevienu neredzu apkārt.
That suitcase – I don't see anyone around."
""Esi uzmanīgs," Māra bažīgi atgādināja.
"Be careful," Māra anxiously reminded him.
"Tu zini, kā šeit ir?
"You know how it is here?
Labāk ziņo lidostas drošībai.
Better report it to airport security."
"Aleksis aizdomājās.
Aleksis pondered.
Viņam bija jāpārvar vēlme iejaukties.
He had to overcome the urge to intervene.
Viņš domāja par iespējām – riskiem un ieguvumiem.
He thought about the possibilities – risks and benefits.
Bet tad viņš pamanīja kaut ko citu – nelielu, plīstošu birku, kas karājās pie čemodāna.
But then he noticed something else – a small, torn tag hanging from the suitcase.
Tikai puse adrese bija redzama, taču uz tās varēja saskatīt vārdu "Raimonds".
Only half of the address was visible, but one could make out the name "Raimonds."
„Tas nevar būt tikai nejauši,” viņš nodomāja.
"This can't be a coincidence," he thought.
"Varbūt Raimonds ir netālu?
"Maybe Raimonds is nearby?"
"Nespēja izturēt spiedienu, Aleksis pieņēma lēmumu.
Unable to withstand the pressure, Aleksis made a decision.
Viņš lēni, bez troksnim, piegāja pie čemodāna.
He slowly, without making a noise, approached the suitcase.
Kolīdz viņš aiztika birkas, apkārtējad teritorijā parādījās uniformēti darbinieki.
As soon as he touched the tag, uniformed employees appeared in the surrounding area.
Viņi pamanīja Aleksa kustības.
They noticed Aleksis's movements.
"Sveicināti!
"Hello!
Mūsu uzraudzībā," viena no darbiniecēm pieklājīgi pavēstīja Aleksim.
Under our supervision," one of the employees politely informed Aleksis.
"Atstājiet to mums.
"Leave it to us."
"Saprotot, ka tas ir labākais risinājums, Aleksis atdeva čemodānu drošībai.
Understanding that this was the best solution, Aleksis handed the suitcase over to security.
He explained about the found address tag and let them handle it as necessary.
Atstājot lidostu tajā dienā, Aleksis jūta gandarījumu.
Leaving the airport that day, Aleksis felt satisfaction.
"Es darīju pareizi," viņš nodomāja.
"I did the right thing," he thought.
Pat ja noslēpums nekad netiktu atklāts, viņš zināja, ka aizsargājis citus un neļāvis savai ziņkārei gūt virsroku.
Even if the mystery would never be uncovered, he knew he had protected others and not let his curiosity get the better of him.
He realized how important it is not only to seek adventure but also to be a conscientious traveler.
Un šajā vēsā rudens dienā, kad Rīgas vēji veda prom zaļās lapas, Aleksis kļuva mazliet vairāk nobriedis.
And on this cool autumn day, as the Rīga winds carried away the green leaves, Aleksis grew a bit more mature.
