Ķemeri Nacionālais parks tikko pamodās pēc garas ziemas guļas.
Ķemeri Nacionālais parks had just awakened from a long winter's sleep.
Miglaini aizsegi aizklāja purva stāvus kokus, kurus tikai šur tur pārtrauca pavasara ziedēšana un atpakaļceļojošo putnu dziedāšanas melodijas.
Misty veils covered the marsh's tall trees, interrupted only here and there by spring blossoms and the melodies of returning birdsong.
Cilvēki staigāja vienkārši, ieelpodami drēgnos gaisa tvērumus, bet Alvis, Liene un Raimonds šodien nebaidījās sajust mitrumu.
People walked simply, inhaling the brisk air, but Alvis, Liene, and Raimonds were not afraid to feel the dampness today.
Viņi ieradās purvā ar mērķi – atrast ģimenes dārgumu, ko Liene bija pazaudējusi pēkšņas plūdu laikā.
They came to the marsh with a goal—to find the family treasure that Liene had lost during a sudden flood.
Alvis, jau ar pieredzi gūt pie ģimenes mantām, bija šķērsām ap deviņiem vakardienas pēcpusdienā, kad debesis pēkšņi pārmainīja savu toni un nomierinošais putenis pārtapa rude irkļos birzētu vētru.
Alvis, already experienced in retrieving family heirlooms, had crossed back around nine yesterday afternoon when the skies suddenly changed their tone and the soothing snowfall turned into a ruddy storm with swirling winds.
Viņš nejutās sevišķi apmierināts.
He did not feel particularly satisfied.
"Liena, tas ir pārāk riskanti," viņš teica, atslogājot saiti ap dūņu kurpēm.
"Liene, this is too risky," he said, loosening the tie around his muddy boots.
"Mēs atradīsim mantu, bet nevajag skriet cīnīties ar pašu dabu.
"We will find the treasure, but we shouldn't rush to fight against nature itself."
"Liene pacēla zodu.
Liene raised her chin.
Viņas acis mirdzēja dēkainā gaismā, kas viņai gandrīz vienmēr piemita.
Her eyes sparkled with an adventurous light that she almost always had.
"Es to pazaudēju, man ir jāatrod," viņa atbildēja.
"I lost it; I have to find it," she replied.
Raimonds tikai mierīgi novēroja, kā saules starus pārņem miglas paceļšanās.
Raimonds merely watched as the fog lifted and sunlight took over.
Viņš arī zināja to īpašo dārgumu vērtību, un viņa sirds sāpēja par Lieni.
He also knew the value of that special treasure, and his heart ached for Liene.
"Varbūt mēs varam atrast citu veidu," Raimonds iejaucās, cerot nomierināties situāciju un neizjukt starp abiem draugiem.
"Maybe we can find another way," Raimonds interjected, hoping to calm the situation and not disrupt the friendship between the two.
Taču Alvis jau bija lēmis: viņi ies dziļāk purvā, tur, kur varbūt to pāvests straume bija aiznesis.
But Alvis had already decided: they would go deeper into the marsh, where perhaps the current had carried it away.
Ceļš bija grūts, tēraudssamitrināts koks, čukstēja, tomēr pāri ceļam palīdzēja rāpties tālāk par it kā bezdievīgo purvaskuputniņu ligzdām.
The path was difficult, the steel-wet wood whispered, yet crossing over it helped them creep past what seemed to be godforsaken marsh bird nests.
Kaut kur tālumā ūdens līmenis sāka pacelties, liekot zemesjūtīgajiem putniem skandināt savas brīdinājuma balsis, it kā ļaujot ceļiniekiem spert nākamo soli.
Somewhere in the distance, the water level began to rise, causing the ground-sensitive birds to sound their warning calls, as if allowing the travelers to take the next step.
"Alvis, mums nav daudz laika," Raimonds pamudijās, norādot uz tuvojas ruināciju.
"Alvis, we don't have much time," Raimonds urged, pointing to the approaching ruin.
Taču tajā pašā okazijā kādam radās blāvot un caurspīdīgā viļņā viņi ieraudzīja spiedīgu mirdzumu no paša mantas.
But at that moment, through a faint, translucent wave, they saw a faint glow from the very treasure.
Liene drebēja, taču viņas rokām apņēmīgi spītīgi izdevās izņemt izglābto dārgumu, kamēr viņu skanēja nosēstais ūdens.
Liene shivered, but her hands, determined and stubborn, managed to pull out the recovered treasure while the water echoed around them.
Ar dārgumu viņas svārkos un klusi priecājoties draudzību, Alvis velti izraudzījās apli, atdodzu atelpu viņa ģimenes reputācijai.
With the treasure in her skirts and quietly celebrating the friendship, Alvis made a futile circle, thus restoring his family's reputation.
"Tagad mēs vari atgriezties," viņš sacīja, sakaraukdams pārējo vērstotāju uz drīksties.
"Now we can go back," he said, directing the rest towards their exit.
Šī diena nežēlīgais nodoms bija gan atmodusis turpmāk tempu, gan atklāja arrelevances najopiet ko un bīstami vārēja priekšroci mīļajiem.
This day's relentless pursuit had both awakened the pace for the future and revealed the relevance of serious commitment and the dangerous precedence of loved ones.
Un kadējā saudzēja ir ar Lienes spēti mirdzēties.
And Liene's determination managed to shine through.
Pavasara miglā paralēli ieplūda miera un pārdomu gaisotne.
In the spring mist, a parallel atmosphere of peace and reflection flowed.
Alvis, Liene un Raimonds tika savirzīti un pārvilkāt, katrs iegādzas mazliet gudrāki Par laiku pievienošanās.
Alvis, Liene, and Raimonds were drawn together and transformed, each becoming a bit wiser for the time spent united.
