Vysoké Tatry boli zahalené jemným závojom hmliny.
The Vysoké Tatry were shrouded in a delicate veil of mist.
Although it was spring, snow still lay here, and the air was cold and fresh.
Marek a Iveta stáli na okraji lesa, pripravení vykročiť na dlhú túru.
Marek and Iveta stood at the edge of the forest, ready to embark on a long hike.
Pred veľa rokmi, keď boli ešte malí, objavili tu spolu čarovné miesto.
Many years ago, when they were still young, they discovered a magical place here together.
Teraz, po mnohých rokoch, sa rozhodli vrátiť.
Now, after many years, they decided to return.
Slávili Velikonoce a chceli znovu oživiť svoje staré spomienky.
They were celebrating Easter and wanted to relive their old memories.
„Pamätáš sa na tú čistinku za jazerom?
"Do you remember that clearing behind the lake?"
“ spýtal sa Marek so žiarivými očami.
Marek asked with bright eyes.
„Samozrejme,“ usmiala sa Iveta, aj keď jej myšlienky boli plné obáv.
"Of course," Iveta smiled, although her thoughts were full of concerns.
„Ale musíme byť opatrní.
"But we have to be careful.
The weather is unpredictable," she warned him, admiring his enthusiasm at the same time.
She too longed to rediscover that moment of peace and happiness.
Vyrazili, Marek dopredu, kráčajúc svižne lesným chodníkom.
They set out, Marek leading the way, walking briskly along the forest path.
Iveta kráčala za ním, obdivovala okoloidúce divoké kvety a počúvala spev vtákov.
Iveta walked behind him, admiring the passing wildflowers and listening to the birdsong.
She felt almost adventurous but kept track of the time to ensure they could return safely.
As they climbed higher, the air got colder, and the sky turned cloudy.
Vrcholky hôr sa stratili v oblakoch a vietor začal fúkať silnejšie.
The mountain peaks disappeared into the clouds, and the wind started to blow stronger.
Marek bol zaujatý, nevšímajúc si prichádzajúce nebezpečenstvo.
Marek was engrossed, not noticing the approaching danger.
„Marek, mali by sme sa obrátiť,“ naliehala Iveta, keď zacítila prvé kvapky dažďa.
"Marek, we should turn back," Iveta urged when she felt the first drops of rain.
But Marek, still enchanted by his memory, shouted, "We're so close!
Môžeme to zvládnuť!
We can make it!"
“Dažďové kvapky sa premenili na lejak a vietor sa rozfúkal.
The raindrops turned into a downpour, and the wind howled.
Marek a Iveta hľadali úkryt.
Marek and Iveta searched for shelter.
Fortunately, they found a small wooden cabin standing alone behind a rock.
Rýchlo do nej vbehli, premoknutí a zadýchaní.
They quickly ran inside, soaked and breathless.
V bezpečí sucha, hoci vonku burácala búrka, Iveta pozrela Marekovi do očí.
Safe and dry, though the storm raged outside, Iveta looked into Marek's eyes.
„Prečo si tak veľmi trval na tom, aby sme šli ďalej?
"Why were you so insistent on going further?"
“ spýtala sa ticho.
she asked quietly.
Marek sklonil hlavu.
Marek bowed his head.
„Chcel som znovu prežiť naše staré dobrodružstvá.
"I wanted to relive our old adventures.
I wanted to feel like I was still that brave boy," he admitted.
Iveta ho pohladila po ruke.
Iveta stroked his hand.
„Chápem ťa, Marek.
"I understand you, Marek.
Je pekné mať sny a spomienky.
It's nice to have dreams and memories.
Ale niekedy je lepšie byť opatrný.
But sometimes it's better to be cautious."
“Búrka pomaly utíchla a slnko sa opäť začalo prebíjať mrakmi.
The storm slowly subsided, and the sun began to break through the clouds again.
Dvojica vyšla z chatky, cítiac sa obnovení.
The pair stepped out of the cabin, feeling renewed.
Videli hory, les a mali iný pohľad.
They saw the mountains, the forest, and had a different perspective.
Boli tu a teraz, a to bolo najdôležitejšie.
They were here and now, and that was the most important thing.
Znovu sa jedným hlasom zasmiali.
Once more, they laughed together in unison.
Iveta realized that a little spontaneity isn't a bad thing, and Marek realized that caution can also be a part of adventure.
Firmly united, they set off down, happy that friendship and understanding were the greatest treasures they took with them.
As evening approached, they bade farewell with love to the beautiful Tatry and stored a new shared Easter memory in their hearts.
A pred nimi ležali ďalšie, nové dobrodružstvá.
And ahead lay more new adventures.
