  • V chladné jesenné ráno, Bratislavský hrad žiaril v slnku.

On a chilly autumn morning, Bratislavský hrad@ felt radiant in the sunlight.

  • Jeho starobylé múry ticho šepkali príbehy minulosti.

Its ancient walls whispered stories from the past.

  • Listy oranžovo a červeno padali na zem.

Leaves of orange and red fell to the ground.

  • Marek kráčal nahor cestou k hradu.

Marek walked up the path to the castle.

His soul was as heavy as those leaves on the ground.

He had returned home from Prague, but he felt like a stranger.

  • Marek bol umelec.

    Marek was an artist.

  • V jeho živote dominovala tvorba a samota.

His life was dominated by creation and solitude.

He often secluded himself in his studio, far from family.

  • Dnes však prichádzal na rodinnú stretnutie.

But today, he was coming to a family gathering.

Adela@, his mother, and Jozef@, his brother, were waiting for him at the castle.

Memories of their father hung in the air, like the morning mist.

  • Bratislava vyzerala krásne, ale v Marekovi vyvolávala zmiešané pocity.

Bratislava@ looked beautiful, but it stirred mixed feelings in Marek.

  • Zahliadol Adelu, stojacu na nádvorí.

He spotted Adela@, standing in the courtyard.

  • Objali sa.

    They hugged.

  • "Marek, si konečne doma," povedala s úsmevom.

"Marek, you're finally home," she said with a smile.

It was a smile that hid the pain of the past.

  • Vstúpili do hradu.

    They entered the castle.

  • Počuli vôňu pečeného kačice a kapusty.

The scent of roasted duck and cabbage filled the air.

  • V jedálni bolo všetko pripravené na sviatočnú večeru na Dušičky.

In the dining room, everything was ready for the holiday dinner on All Souls' Day.

  • Jozef otvoril víno a všade sa ozýval smiech a hovor.

Jozef@ opened the wine, and laughter and conversation echoed everywhere.

  • Marek však zostával ticho.

    Marek, however, remained silent.

  • Po chvíli sa atmosféra zmenila.

After a while, the atmosphere changed.

  • Jozef položil otázku, ktorú Marek očakával so strachom.

Jozef@ asked the question Marek had been dreading.

  • "Spomínaš si na otca?

    "Do you remember Dad?"

  • " Marek cítil, ako sa mu stiahlo hrdlo.

    Marek felt his throat tighten.

  • "Áno," povedal pomaly.

    "Yes," he said slowly.

  • "Bol pre mňa vzorom.

"He was a role model for me."

  • " Slová vyleteli z úst bez váhania.

The words flew from his mouth without hesitation.

  • Marek náhle pocítil potrebu zdieľať niečo hlbšie.

Marek suddenly felt the need to share something deeper.

  • "Pamätám si, ako ma bral na ryby.

"I remember when he would take me fishing.

  • Učili ma, ako byť trpezlivý.

He taught me how to be patient.

  • Vtedy som pochopil dôležitosť rodiny.

That's when I understood the importance of family."

  • " Marekovi sa zaleskli oči.

    Marek's eyes glistened.

  • V obývačke zavládlo ticho.

Silence settled in the living room.

  • Adela ho chytila za ruku.

    Adela@ took his hand.

  • "Nikdy si nebol sám, Marek.

    "You've never been alone, Marek.

  • Sme tu pre teba.

    We're here for you."

  • " Jozef prikývol.

    Jozef@ nodded.

  • Boli tam spoločne.

    They were there together.

Family, despite distance and time, was present.

  • Večera sa skončila, ale nie ich spojenie.

The dinner ended, but not their bond.

  • Vybrali sa spolu na cintorín.

They went together to the cemetery.

  • Kúpil sviečky a kvetiny.

    He bought candles and flowers.

He felt that the past might be heavy, but not insurmountable.

  • Na hrobe zasvietili sviečky a Marek pocítil pokoj.

Candles lit up the grave, and Marek felt peace.

  • Objal Adelu a Jozefa.

    He embraced Adela@ and Jozef@.

All Souls’ Day was about memories, but also new beginnings.

  • Marek znova našiel svoju rodinu.

    Marek found his family again.

  • Rozhodol sa byť súčasťou jej príbehu.

He decided to be part of their story.

As the sun set and the castle sank into dusk, Marek knew he was no longer alone.

  • Nalezením cesty späť k rodine si našiel cestu k sebe samému.

By finding his way back to his family, he found his way back to himself.
