"Potrebovala sem čas zase, prostor za ustvarjanje.

"I needed time for myself, space to create.

Gregor je zmajal z glavo, vidno razpet med jezo in razumevanjem.

Gregor shook his head, visibly torn between anger and understanding.

"Toda babica..." je začel, a besede so zapele v zraku.

"But grandmother..." he started, but the words hung in the air.

"Moj odhod ni bil zaradi nas.

"My leaving wasn't because of us.

Ni bil proti tebi ali njej," je rekla, njene oči polne obžalovanja.

It wasn't against you or her," she said, her eyes full of regret.

"Obžalujem samo, da nisem bila tukaj, ko me je babica potrebovala."

"I only regret that I wasn't here when she needed me."

Tišina je ponovno zapolnila prostor.

Silence filled the space once again.

Gregor je zamišljeno strmel v sliko.

Gregor stared thoughtfully at the painting.

Spomini so se vse bolj prepletali z besedami, ki so jih delili.

Memories intertwined more and more with the words they shared.

Njuna babica ju je vedno učila, da pustita preteklost in objemata sedanjost.

Their grandmother had always taught them to let go of the past and embrace the present.

"Želim si, da bi bila bližje," je rekel končno.
