It's snowing, and the ground crunches beneath their feet.

Pokrajina je v zimski čarovniji.

The landscape is wrapped in winter magic.

Sneg pokriva tla, veje dreves so obdane v belo preobleko, v daljavi pa je skozi meglico vidna cerkvica na otoku.

Snow covers the ground, tree branches are draped in a white cloak, and in the distance, through the mist, the little church on the island is visible.

V zraku je mir in hladen zimski zrak ju osveži.

The air is still, and the cool winter air refreshes them.

Nina govori o njunih načrtih. O potovanjih v oddaljene kraje, raziskovanju sveta.

Nina talks about their plans, about traveling to distant places, exploring the world.

Matej pa jo posluša, a misli mu begajo.

"Prejel sem ponudbo za delo. V tujini," prizna Matej.

"I've received a job offer. Abroad," Matej admits.

Matej pogleda nazaj proti vodi, nato spet proti Nini.

Matej looks back at the water, then again at Nina.

"Ne vem, kako ti povedati.

"I don't know how to tell you.

Hotel sem ti prej povedati, a nisem znal.

I wanted to tell you earlier, but I didn't know how.

Bojim se, da te izgubim," reče iskreno.

I'm afraid of losing you," he says sincerely.

Nina se obrne nazaj k njemu, oči so ji tople.

Nina turns back to him, her eyes warm.

"Matej, ne bi smel skrivati tega pred mano.

"Matej, you shouldn't have hidden this from me.

Prijatelji si zaupamo.

Friends trust each other.

Razumem, zakaj.

I understand why.

Ampak moram vedeti."

Matej s težavo prikima.

Matej nods with difficulty.

"Hočem to sprejeti, a nočem izgubiti tebe in naših sanj."
