นิรันดร์เดินทางจากกรุงเทพฯ มาพบกับผืนธรรมชาติและวัฒนธรรมที่ไม่คุ้นเลยที่ชุมชนบ้านพักมูล ในภาคตะวันออกเฉียงเหนือของประเทศไทย

Niran traveled from Bangkok to discover the unfamiliar nature and culture of the Ban Phak Mun Community in the northeast of Thailand.

เขาตื่นเต้นกับการมาพบประเพณีลอยกระทงเป็นครั้งแรก

He was excited to experience the Loy Krathong Festival for the first time.

เมื่อถึงที่นั่น นิรันดร์ได้พบกับพิม หญิงสาวที่เป็นไกด์ท้องถิ่นที่รู้จักทุกมุมของชุมชนนี้

Upon arrival, Niran met Pim, a local guide who knows every corner of this community.

พิมยิ้มต้อนรับด้วยใจจริง

Pim welcomed him with a genuine smile.

"สวัสดีค่ะ ยินดีต้อนรับสู่อิสาน ขอให้วันของคุณดีนะคะ"

"Hello, welcome to Isan. Have a great day," she said.

พิมพานิรันดร์ไปยังที่ท่าสระน้ำแม่มูลที่กว้างใหญ่ พระอาทิตย์ยามเย็นทอดเงาทองบนพื้นน้ำให้ภาพงดงามที่ไม่อาจลืม

Pim took Niran to the vast Mae Mun Reservoir, where the evening sun cast golden shadows on the water, creating an unforgettable picture.

นิรันดร์พูดกับพิมว่า "ผมอยากเข้าใจมากกว่านี้ครับ โล่งใจที่ได้มาเห็นงานประเพณีจริงๆเสียที"

Niran told Pim, "I want to understand more. It's such a relief to finally see the real festival."

พิมบอกว่าชุมชนนี้ไม่ได้มีเพียงความสวยงาม แต่ยังมีความท้าทายในเรื่องของมลพิษและปลาที่ถูกจับจนลดลง

Pim explained that this community is not only beautiful but also faces challenges like pollution and dwindling fish populations.

ทั้งคู่เริ่มทำกระทงด้วยกัน

Together, they began making krathongs.

พวกเขาใช้ใบตองและดอกไม้ท้องถิ่นแทนการใช้วัสดุที่ไม่เป็นมิตรกับสิ่งแวดล้อม

They used banana leaves and local flowers instead of environmentally harmful materials.

นิรันดร์ค่อยๆ เข้าใจและตระหนักถึงปัญหามากขึ้นเรื่อยๆ

Niran gradually understood and became more aware of the issues.

"เราจะทำอะไรได้บ้างเพื่อรักษาสิ่งแวดล้อมนะ?" นิรันดร์ถาม

"What can we do to help protect the environment?" Niran asked.

ในคืนวันของเทศกาล นิรันดร์กับพิมยืนอยู่ริมแม่น้ำแม่มูล

On the night of the festival, Niran and Pim stood by the Mae Mun River.

ไฟส่องสว่างจากกระทงและโคมลอยส่องประกายเหลือบฟ้าที่งดงาม

The light from the krathongs and floating lanterns sparkled beautifully.

แต่ภายใต้ความงามนั้น นิรันดร์รู้สึกถึงความท้าทายที่ชุมชนนี้ต้องเผชิญหน้าทุกวัน

But beneath the beauty, Niran felt the challenges the community faced every day.

เมื่อเทศกาลใกล้จะจบ นิรันดร์พูดกับพิมว่า "ผมสัญญาว่าจะช่วยสนับสนุนความพยายามในการอนุรักษ์สิ่งแวดล้อมที่นี่

As the festival was coming to an end, Niran promised Pim, "I promise to support the efforts to conserve the environment here.

ผมเข้าใจมากขึ้นแล้วว่ามันสำคัญแค่ไหน"

I understand more now how important it is."

นิรันดร์กลับบ้านด้วยหัวใจที่เปลี่ยนไป ความเข้าใจที่เพิ่มขึ้น และความมุ่งมั่นที่จะทำให้โลกนี้ดีขึ้นสำหรับทุกคนที่อยู่บนริมฝั่งแม่มูลแห่งนี้

Niran returned home with a changed heart, a deeper understanding, and a commitment to make the world better for everyone living on the banks of the Mae Mun.
