During this time, Mrs. Somsri, Anan's elderly neighbor, feels nostalgic about this tune because it reminds her of the past.

คืนหนึ่ง อานันท์อดทนฟังเสียงทำนองจากห้องของเขา

One night, Anan patiently listens to the melody from his room.

เขาคิดว่าเสียงนั้นมาจากแถวๆ บ้านของโกวิท นักดนตรีเจ้าของบ้านที่กลายเป็นที่สนใจในชุมชนเพราะเพลงที่เขาเล่น

He thinks the sound is coming from Kowit's house, a musician who has become a topic of interest in the community because of the music he plays.

ในคืนนั้น อานันท์ตัดสินใจแอบออกจากบ้านไปค้นหาแหล่งที่มาของเสียงเพลงนี้ แม้ว่าผู้ใหญ่ในชุมชนจะเตือนว่าอย่าออกมาเดินเล่นตอนกลางคืน

That night, Anan decides to sneak out of his house to find the source of this music, despite the warnings from the community's adults not to go out walking at night.

Kowit tells Anan that he plays this flute to remember his beloved wife who has passed away, a tradition he keeps every year during the New Year transition.
