Але в одній лікарні столиці Галичини панувала напруженість.

Олег, студент-медик, хвилювався за сестру Ларису, яка несподівано опинилася на операційному столі через апендицит.

Олег прийшов на великодні свята в надії провести час з родиною.

"Мені потрібна твоя допомога, – сказав Олегу його наставник Максим, – але я не впевнений, чи готовий ти до такої відповідальності".

"I need your help," said Oleh's mentor Maksym, "but I'm not sure if you're ready for such responsibility."

Максим був досвідченим хірургом, вже багато років працював у цій лікарні.

Maksym was an experienced surgeon, having worked at this hospital for many years.

Він бачив потенціал у молодому медицинці, але ніколи не давав йому поблажок.

He saw potential in the young medic but never gave him any leeway.

Олег поглянув на Максима з невгамовним проханням.

Oleh looked at Maksym with an unyielding request.

"Дай мені шанс. Я знаю, що зможу допомогти. Це ж моя сестра..."

"Give me a chance. I know I can help. It's my sister, after all..."

Його очі світилися впевненістю й рішучістю, яку важко було ігнорувати.

В операційній панувала тиша, тільки звуки апаратури нагадували про відповідальність моменту.

Лариса лежала під анастезією, її обличчя було спокійним, але Олег знав, як сильно вона боялася цієї процедури в день, коли всі святкують.

Larysa lay under anesthesia, her face calm, but Oleh knew how much she feared this procedure on the day everyone else was celebrating.

Коли операція почалася, Максим керував процесом із досвідом зрілого маестро, але в певний момент, коли потрібно було прийняти складне рішення, він подивився на Олега.

When the operation began, Maksym guided the process with the expertise of a seasoned maestro, but at a certain moment, when a difficult decision needed to be made, he looked at Oleh.

"Твій час, – сказав він, пристально дивлячись на юнака".

"Your time," he said, looking intently at the young man.

Під наглядом наставника Олегу вдалося виконати завдання без жодної помилки.

Under his mentor's supervision, Oleh managed to complete the task without a single mistake.

Минуло кілька годин, які здавались вічністю для них обох.

Several hours passed, which seemed like an eternity for them both.

Операція завершилася успішно.

The operation finished successfully.

Лариса, вже у палаті, прокидалася під лагідними словами брата.

Larysa, now in the ward, was waking up to her brother's gentle words.

Вона не могла стримати усмішки, побачивши його і Максима, які заходили до її кімнати з відчуттям виконаного обов'язку.

She couldn't help but smile when she saw him and Maksym entering her room with a sense of duty fulfilled.

Теперь Олег був іншим.

Now Oleh was different.

Його впевненість підвищилася, а Максим, посміхаючись, поклав руку йому на плече, визнаючи його успіх.

His confidence had increased, and Maksym, smiling, placed a hand on his shoulder, acknowledging his success.

"Ти зробив це, – сказав він, – ти молодець".

"You did it," he said, "well done."

Завдяки цьому дню Олег не тільки став кроком ближче до своєї мрії стати чудовим хірургом, але й зрозумів, що справжня відданість важливіша за всі святкові розваги.

Thanks to this day, Oleh not only took a step closer to his dream of becoming a great surgeon, but he also realized that true dedication is more important than all the festive amusements.

Лариса ж раділа, бачачи, що її брат знайшов своє покликання в житті, готовий будь-якої миті прийти на допомогу так само, як і в цей Великдень.

Larysa was happy to see her brother had found his calling in life, ready to help at any moment just as he had this Velykden.
