在一个阳光明媚的早晨，李明、王芳和张伟来到了北京最著名的景点——故宫。

On a sunny morning, Li Ming, Wang Fang, and Zhang Wei arrived at Beijing's most famous landmark—the Forbidden City.

导游小李站在大门口，热情地迎接他们。

Tour guide Xiao Li stood at the entrance, warmly welcoming them.

Wang Fang was curious about everything she saw. She asked, "Why are these columns so tall?"

小李微笑着回答：“这是为了显示皇权的威严。你们看到的所有建筑都是对称的，象征着皇帝的权力和地位。”

Xiao Li smiled and replied, "This is to display the majesty of imperial power. All the buildings you see are symmetrical, symbolizing the emperor’s authority and status."

接着，他们来到了乾清宫。

Next, they arrived at the Palace of Heavenly Purity.

“这是皇帝的寝宫。在这里，皇帝每天处理政务。”小李继续讲解。

"This is the emperor's sleeping quarters. Here, the emperor handled daily state affairs," Xiao Li continued.

张伟低声问：“这些宫殿修建有多长时间了？”

Zhang Wei quietly asked, "How long have these palaces been standing?"

小李说：“故宫建于明朝的永乐年间，大约有六百年的历史了。每一处建筑都有它自己的故事。”

Xiao Li replied, "The Forbidden City was built during the Yongle reign of the Ming Dynasty, roughly six hundred years ago. Each building has its own story."

参观了一圈，小李带他们来到了御花园。

After touring around, Xiao Li led them to the Imperial Garden.

这里有美丽的花草树木，还有静谧的湖水。大家不由得被这份宁静吸引了。

There, they found beautiful flowers, trees, and a tranquil lake. Everyone was captivated by the serenity.

李明说：“这地方真美，像是人间仙境。”

Li Ming said, "This place is so beautiful, like a fairyland on earth."

就在这时，天空突然下起了小雨。大家躲在一棵大树下避雨。

Just then, it began to drizzle. They took shelter under a large tree.

小雨过后，彩虹出现在天边，给故宫增添了一份神秘感。

After the rain, a rainbow appeared across the sky, adding a touch of mystery to the Forbidden City.

小李看着远方的虹，说：“这真是难得的美景。大家可以在这里拍些照片留念。”

Xiao Li looked at the distant rainbow and said, "This is such a rare and beautiful sight. Feel free to take some memorable photos here."

最后，参观结束了。

Finally, the tour came to an end.
